Bunyap Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Here is the first of a new series showing quick engagements in different situations. This is a 2 on 2 MiG-15 vs F-86 Sabre dogfight. It is a departure from the usual mission and tutorial videos on my channel but feel free to check the other stuff too out if you enjoyed it. 1
Mowgli Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Nice vid there, clear commentary is vital with dogfight tutorials. I guess your no.2 will take lead next time your up with him:smilewink: You mentioned that the Sabre flies very slow in dogfights so there is always a chance that u overshoot him. the same applies when i fly my Sabre against the mig-15. seems to me that it's something to do with the AI behavior in DCS. Keep up the practice an tutorials - one day we shall meet in the sky:pilotfly: [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Intel i5 4690K | ASUS Z-97PRO Gaming Mobo | Nvidia Gigabyte GTX970 3.5/0.5 GB Windforce3 | G.Skill Ripjaws-X 2x8GB DDR3 1600Mhz | Samsung Evo 120GB SSD | Win10 Pro | Antec 750w 80 Bronze Modular

Bunyap Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 you need to be more patient - keep your nose in lag longer when you see aspect +++ you need to make your Gs --- Absolutely right. My brain says lag but my eyes say pull. My brain rarely wins. :)

Derbysieger Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 First off, I don't have any experience dogfighting in the F-86 or the MiG-15 but at least with WWII aircraft the AI's ability to retain energy is very much dependent on their skill level so that might have something to do with what we're seeing in this video. Just a guess, but it might be worth testing it.
