P3CFE Posted March 23, 2015 Posted March 23, 2015 Was Flying high AoA (Formation with Apache Helo at 250 km/hr). Beautifull exterior view :) I noticed that de AoA vane was still in line with the fuselage longitudinal axis. IMO It should be deflected much more up (with the vane side). AoA Indicator was halfway the green zone and sometimes close to red. With pitch up and down movement (almost to a stall) there was almost no change in the vane angle, even at higher speeds. Is the movement of the AoA vane not animated ? If not... is it going to be ?..I hope so..:music_whistling: Or is it a bug? Thanks allready for your ideas
tsb47 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 You can't fly at 250 kmph in the Mig21! Or can you... Imma try tonight. Sorry - don't know the answer to your question.. t Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit | i7-4790K@4GHz | 8GB RAM | GTX970 347.52
Siegfried Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 I see that it moves but with pitch axis movement. At least in earlier DCS versions.

xxJohnxx Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Yes, this is a problem. The AoA vane does move with pitch instead with AoA. Probably worth making a report in the bug section. tsb47 Posted March 24, 2015 Posted March 24, 2015 Great flying. Lol at that AoA. The plane must be a nightmare to control at those speeds. And what's your throttle at, close to full power to maintain that methinks! Windows 7 Enterprise 64bit | i7-4790K@4GHz | 8GB RAM | GTX970 347.52

And what's your throttle at, close to full power to maintain that methinks! When flying at the AoA and at that speed the only movement you can do is up and down (and a bit with the rudder) I was constantly moving the throttle back and forth.
