LeCuvier Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 I have piloted the SU-27 in FC3, and I found the display of AWACS data really useful to get the overall picture of my battlefield. Now flying the F-15C and I do not see AWACS data anywhere. also the flight manual doesn't mention AWACS. Is that because the real aircraft doesn't take advantage of AWACS data (hard to believe), or is it a missing feature in the sim? I still hope I'm overlooking something... Tell me! FLANKERATOR Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 You can get BRAA radio calls from the AWACS in the game, but no tactical display like in the Russian counterparts. Newer versions of the F-15 do have datalink but FC is still simulating birds from the 80's era so you have many missing capabilities and features in comparison to latest models and this is true for every FC aircraft not only the Eagle. GGTharos Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 There are many missing features and capabilities that correspond to the 80's and 90's. The in game eagle isn't on danger of being earlier than the mid 90's. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda

To whom it may concern, I am an idiot, unfortunately for the world, I have a internet connection and a fondness for beer....apologies for that. Thank you for you patience. mvsgas Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Some information on several data links within the US military being used. I am trying to find more info on the early systems and capabilities. If I find any will post them. I find the information to normally be interesting. LeCuvier Posted April 13, 2015 Author Posted April 13, 2015 I would love to have a new F-15C module with up-to-date functionality and simulation detail. I started with the A-10A under "Lock-On" and purchased the A-10C when it became available. I would also spend the money for a similarly enhanced F-15C module!
