ctguy1955 Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) I do not know WHAT I downloaded or did, but now after a month of playing DCS with no problems, I cant get my X52 to enable me to fly anymore. I have spent at least 12 hours or more trying to read everything I could and tried a million things to help. Running cc cleaner and regedit and safemode and reinstalling the drivers over and over. Most of the time, Only the saitek pedals show up on DCS, never the X52. If I do get the driver to go through, and try to restart my pc, I will get a blue screen with the circle and it wont actually restart until I pull the USB plug for the X52 out of the PC. Then I will sometimes have it working in the X52 control panel, where I can see that the joystick is working, and I will go into DCS World and just as I am ready to play the Dora takeoff practice, I pull back on the stick and the blue lights on the joystick start blinking and it stops working. I have a laptop that I can try the joystick on, as that is the only thing I have not tried. I even re-installed Win 8.1 again. I was so frustrated that I almost wiped out my OS system and was going to reinstall everything once again if it would get the DCS world to work once again. I bought the X52, the pedals, and a TrackIR5 because I loved flying DCS world WWII planes so much. Now I just want to fly again. Some drivers are from europe, and I tried them as well, even getting older versions and nothing worked. I dont know if a DXDIAG report would help ? Device Name: CP 1500C Attached: 1 Controller ID: 0x0 Vendor/Product ID: 0x0764, 0x0501 FF Driver: n/a Above shows no x52 driver, I will try to get another one when it does show it.DxDiagmar31.txtDxDiagUSB.txt Edited April 1, 2015 by ctguy1955
Blooze Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 Click HERE and go through the steps to get rid of all Saitek files and start over. Good luck. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ctguy1955 Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 I Installed the x52 on my 32 bit laptop with the proper drivers and it worked fine. Did not do the pedals or trackir5, but it did work. Im going to try the 32 bit drivers on my PC now just for the heck of it.
ctguy1955 Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 Blooze, I did all that a long time ago. Thanks anyway !
Blooze Posted April 1, 2015 Posted April 1, 2015 You may want to rule out 2 possibilities if you haven't already. Do a DCS repair and then re-name your Saved Games DCS folder to DCS1. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
ctguy1955 Posted April 1, 2015 Author Posted April 1, 2015 (edited) You may want to rule out 2 possibilities if you haven't already. Do a DCS repair and then re-name your Saved Games DCS folder to DCS1. I already did a dcs repair, the hotas is failing because of driver issues, not DCS. I can install the drivers and 98% of the time, it will show a icon in devices and printers. When I click on the icon and go to the control panel, its empty. ( because I have rudder unplugged ) Im at my wits end with the amount of hours and hours I have put into this. Because my 32 bit laptop installed it and worked fine, it leads me to believe that my Win 8.1 system is messed up even though I did a reinstall of that as well, but over the top of existing one. I wish I could install win 8.1 on another hard drive that is empty and just have DCS World in that same hard drive and be able to play it. When I try to install win 10.iso or even win 8, windows has a message that I cant install to that type of HD. I have uploaded photos of what I am going through...... GurbY Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 You are ABSOLUTELY sure that you didn´t change config in the way of putting the X52 on another USB port...?? A port that you are, again, absolutely sure of being an USB 2.0 port and NOT an USB 3.0 port..??
ctguy1955 Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 I went into bios and turned off all of the 3.0 ports a long time ago. I just started up the PC this morning and my X52 started working. I got to take off the dora and P-51 a few times and the when it was re-initiating after a crash ( the plane, not the pc ) the same thing that happens all the time is the joystick starts to flash blue over and over and now the icon in the devices and printers is no longer the controller, but the unspecified thing. If I try to restart the computer, I have to unplug the controller from the USB port or it will just do animated circles all day long. I recently noticed that I have madcatz and Saitek drivers on my system, and that the madcatz ones dont work, so I will try to erase them.4790K.txt
ctguy1955 Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) OK, good news !!! I got rid of the madcatz in the temp area, and so far so good. I had some problems with my mini mouse on the x52 making the mouse travel all over the place and it almost seemed at first that the trackir5 software was a problem as when I turned that off the mouse stopped. But then it started doing it with no track ir 5 on. I went into controller panel and did dead zones for the mini mouse and so as of right now everything seems to be ok. I just hope it stays that way. Thank you all for trying to help me !!! **************************************************************************************** well that did not last long. I got to crash the DORA a few times trying to take off and then the X52 joystick started blinking. the 4 lights on top and the three t1-t6 lights on the bottom. The icon is still in in devices and printers and I can right click on game controller settings and that goes on, but nothing happens when I move the joystick buttons, its dead. ctguy1955 Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 working on new duel boot os Well I finally was able to figure out how to get a blank hard drive to allow me to install win 8.1 on a new hard drive and I am able to duel boot win 8 os. I only installed the os and my sound card and video drivers and things to make the new area set up so that I could just play DCS World and when I finally finished, I was able to play for hours and had no really bad issues at all. This proves that my original OS just has a lot of stuff going on in the background and at least now when I want to play DCS World, I can finally do it. I am happy that at least I was able to accomplish this and dont have to drive myself nuts anymore spending 10 or 12 hours trying over and over to no avail. The old OS still has the same problems, but it does not matter anymore.
