paddyman Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 Have recently got into racing sims (although flight simming is still more to my heart) and so have been reading up the different comunities the racing boys have and came accross this. Have never seen it mentioned here before so i taught i post it here. Its from a company called frex and is called the Simconmotion, its a complete motion cockpit designed for racing car sims but i cant see any reason that t cant be made work for flight sim's, especially lockon Blackshark (helosim). Although i know that these have been available for a long time ive never seen one been sold at this price ( its in yen so goto http://www.x-rates.com to convert to your local cost). It is an expensive toy but for what your getting it seems reasonable. Here link for the product http://www.frex.com/gp/ Here's a link to check price https://www.frex.com/cgi-bin/store/agora.cgi?cart_id=6015848.84231*8H4rr7&product=SimConSeries This here is a review one of the members did on it (tested on racing sims). http://forum.rscnet.org/showthread.php?t=238433 Theres a few more reviews about if people wanna read them and it seems that anyone who has tried it is giving it great praise. So up for discussion, What ye all think.
Gunja Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 I'm a sim racer as well, and i've seen it. Awsome stuff. look at Force Dynamics solution here is Force Dynamics forum on RaceSimCentral http://forum.rscnet.org/forumdisplay.php?f=841
Fufunka Posted May 1, 2006 Posted May 1, 2006 FrexGP is fantastic for car simulation but according to its japanese inventor, he doesn't recommend it for flightsim it's just not covering the right motion..
paddyman Posted May 2, 2006 Author Posted May 2, 2006 Yeah i seen the Force Dynamics 301 solution but its price range is way way outside any commonfolks budget so i didn't delve to deep into it. Fufunka, dont suppose you can recall where you seen him say that? It might be tricky for an jet sim but i reckon helo would be good.
Kuky Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 198000.00 ???? of what currency is this??? I surely hope its not 198000 US dolars... that would be trully insane... PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Kuky Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 ... ah... it's Japanese Yen... phew :) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
Woodstock Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 ... ah... it's Japanese Yen... phew :) So you say "phew" to 1.740 bucks? ...phew... "For aviators like us, the sky is not the limit - it's our home!"
NEODARK Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 holy crap man, That car needs new shocks. I've never seen a real car shock so violently, I think they need to go back to pit lane and fix the suspension ;) PS: Not bad, but I much rather buy a sweet suspension setup for my real car.
Fufunka Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Fufunka, dont suppose you can recall where you seen him say that? It might be tricky for an jet sim but i reckon helo would be good. FrexGP cockpits are selling like hotcakes now, the guy hangs out at the car sim forum in his own lobby, he mentioned it about the flighsims in one of the threads or ask him again: FREX SimCon Motion: http://forum.rscnet.org/forumdisplay.php?f=809 Btw. the pricing is very good, less than two grands for a serious car motion platform is nothing in comparsion to available competition.. I don't know if these guys are for real but they promise Frex pricing for flightsims so let's hope someone will finally deliver: http://simcraft.com/home.php I'd rather now focus on cost effective immersive projection solutions for flight sims, which are now finally availalable, the motion platform will come one day.. Too bad that the innitially diy swedish g-force simulating suit is banned from disclosure..
paddyman Posted May 2, 2006 Author Posted May 2, 2006 hmmm never seen that simcraft place before, they say their product will be out in q1 this year so i'll defo be keeping on eye on them. Fingers crossed they'll come through.
