SimHog Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 (edited) Ok I've got two issues: 1) For last two updates the updater fails to update, the command prompt box pops up then closes and DCS World just opens up as normal. I have had to revert to doing the command prompt thing in below thread to get it to work. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=114030 2) After every manual update however I get the "can't connect to master" when entering MP. In order to fix that I have to do a complete uninstall and re-install DCS World and all the modules. I've setup my anti-virus / firewall to allow ALL the .exe's in the DCS folder and I've even allowed them in my router's firewall. My mate suggested I just install DCS World and install the modules from within the module manager which I'm doing right now. ---> EDIT ---> The module manager won't accept my username / password ... gerrrrr Any ideas? Thanks. BRAVO_16 Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Whenever I have issues with the updater, I change my computer time to the day before and re-launch DCS. Then the updater launches automatically again. Maintain thy airspeed lest the ground rise up and smite thee!

Then the updater launches automatically again. Seriously ... oh man. Well I've been trying the module manager thing inside DCS World and keeps saying invalid username / password, yet I have no issue logging into my account via the website ... What is going on here? Yeah that I know. I was able to login and play multiplayer prior to the recent update, where I had to re-download and re-install everything from scratch for the update before that. Its frustrating because I've got really crappy internet in my area, it takes me 10 hours to download the DCS World module alone, last time I travelled 1.5 hours to a mates house who's got cable :P AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D @4.2Ghz | MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk | ADATA XPG 64GB 6000MHz CL30 DDR5 | Team Cardea A440 Pro M.2 PCIe Gen4 NVMe SSD 2TB | Sapphire NITRO+ RX 7900 XTX Vapor-X| PIMAX Crystal Light
SimHog Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 Solved the problem ... Bitdefender Internet Security 2015 Uninstalled it and now I can install all my modules via the module manager. Can anyone recommend an Anti-Virus program that doesn't conflict with DCS? SimHog Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 try this Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and its free Yeah I had that before but thought I needed stronger protection after I installed ImageBurn and it installed some thing that high jacked my web browsers and MalwareBytes didn't pick it up. I think I might research software before installing it from now on.
