hannibal Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 i know im going to hear a lot of flak for this one, little is known about features in the upcoming DCS world 2, probably most notable features include a modular add-on base to include different theaters, and of course the graphic engine to be updated to DX11. will pit crews/fueling/ordinance be a different experience? theres talk about naval ops implementation with the landing ball, etc. What I would like to know if there is a possibility of persistent stats & score keeping in DCS world 2. i know most hardcore flight enthusiast do not want any thing of it. such a feature will dumb down the game play and attract team kills especially when new people who jump into DCS want to shoot at anything that moves. i beg to differ, i think it would attract more players into the fold. i mean war thunder has become quite popular. if anything for season pilots, more people means more possible (fodder) targets or more pilots to join the ranks. for the hardcore pilots, that dont want to have such noobs cod air quake mentality pilots, they can just continue with passworded servers. i mean like single player has a record keeping, why not have an online version as well! boasters can share their ace pilot record to the community.. :D find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179
Scoggs Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I agree with you. I would love to have a log of all my flights with flight hours, A/C, kills, ect. all automatically saved to some sort of document. I think it would be cool to actually see all of my flight hours and what I did during those hours. Especially if everything tied into a single personal username so that flying multi and single would all link to the same stat tracker. hannibal Posted April 10, 2015 Author Posted April 10, 2015 i think stats will attract people to play more often. its a debbie down to put hours of flight take out targets and have it disappear at the restart of the server. will it invite noob that TK, sure. but thats wht we have public and passworded servers. anyways, i hope the new EDGE engine will bring more to the sim immersion and feature set, not just better graphics. find me on steam! username: Hannibal_A101A http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561197969447179

It could be binded to your ED site account and all your stats should be uploaded and saved there after each flight! Wow, that would be perfect... Per aspera ad astra!
