Illusive Tabby Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 How's it going, people? So A few friends and myself are aspiring simulator pilots (Looking forward to the Leatherneck studio's F-14!) and one of the things we would like to do, now, is set up (or join?) a MP server to fly together, perhaps with a few target drones and a spot to practice landings and takeoffs. So, yea, any advice would be much appreciated!
agentdarnell Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Have you done any of the single player training? You can also great quick missions to practice most anything. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
kontiuka Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Here's a tip for making "drone" aircraft. In the ADVANCED WAYPOINT ACTIONS set "REACTION TO THREAT = NO REACTION". This way, they won't try to evade your fire. You can even make them invincible if it suits your purpose.
Illusive Tabby Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 I've done part of the F-15C's ingame campaign, but the key thing is we would like to fly together.
Illusive Tabby Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 That looks great, actually. We want to go from being able to shoot something down with or without missiles that is flying, to hopefully something flying and avoiding, then flying, avoiding, and shooting back.
agentdarnell Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I've done part of the F-15C's ingame campaign, but the key thing is we would like to fly together. Sounds reasonable. Eventually I want to fly with others. I am not very good right now. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
kontiuka Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 to hopefully something flying and avoiding If you fire at a friendly aircraft, they will do this by default. then flying, avoiding, and shooting back. If you fire at an armed enemy aircraft, they will do this by default.

AceRevo Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 You can also host your own session with 4 players (clients) or so, and run it with your own computer. I think when you start to reach 10 or so clients (players) you will need a server of your own to run the session but Im not too sure of this.. Please correct me people! Edit: Im quite sure that 2-4 players will run perfectly fine hosing the game on your own computer (unless you got a dinosaur of a pc). There should be some tutorials on how to create a small scenario with the ME (mission editor), and just to play around with it you can select quick mission - generate mission - edit mission, and you'll see how this would put in a few bandits on the map... to add more clients just click the plane, type and select it as client and place it on the airfield or in air.. If you just want to play around with it you dont really have to set waypoints etc it doesnt have to get more complicated then this... I think there might be some rules on how to save the mission to use it online but Im sure there are some guys here that can tell u more of this. X-55 profile for the F-15C
Wrench Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I can post my practice mission if you'd like. Takeoff from batumi, there's a few su-17s a few miles north. 60 seconds after you shoot down all 4 4 more spawn, and again for a total of 12 aircraft, 4 ata a time. Carrier Script.
Illusive Tabby Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 That would be lovely, Wrench. However, I've no clue how to install it for my friends and myself. Sofar, my friend has gotten the furthest in mission making, which is just a very simple, dirty 'quick mission', so to speak, where we take off in F-15's, fight a few Su-30's and MiG-31's.....who constantly go to land...and just provide air cover for our other friend in his A-10A. Good fun...till I got a friendly AIM-120c to the tailpipe. But your mission would be very appreciated.
Wrench Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 Its pretty easy. There's a folder your c:\user\*your user name*\saved games\dcs\missions You drop the file in there, and select "my missions" when setting up the server. Carrier Script.
