When two aircraft are flying together, then leader is vedushij (ведущий). His comrade is vedomyj (ведомый).

Vedushij, in this case, is translated as the one who is guiding or leading others.

Vedomyj is translated as the one who is guided. So I think that "guided" is the closest word in English.
