Hi.

Sorry for bad English. I´ve just started the SU-27 Campaign and I´m on number 3 mission and when I fly to the 4 waypoint I almost out of fuel, and can´t get back to the airport because it´s to far away. Is that part of the mission to have to land and refuel sometimes? And if so can I land on every airport or do I have to land on the red ones If im on red team?.

When flying this mission I have to take out some fighter, I new to this and assume that I should scan with radar. I manage to lock the fighter and shoot, but it seems the missle wont hit. Sometimes the fighter user Jammer but I still can get a lock on it. When the radar shows jammer should I think of what type of missile i shoot to get a hit?

When using the radar and lock on a target I dont know if it´s friends or foe, It seems to lock on everything.

Concerning the radar, single bar contacts ( - ) are enemy and double bar ( = ) are allies.

You have to make sure that your target is well in range before shooting. There should be three tick marks on the left of your HUD, along with an arrow indicating range. When the arrow passes the first mark, the target is in range, but you probably won't hit him. Wait until it passes the second mark, which indicates a good chance of hit. Of course, the closer you are, the better the chance, so don't rely entirely on these marks.

About the jammer - those hide your target's range, so wait until you close in and "burn through" the jammer and your radar should give you his range. As for the missile, for a jamming target use the R-27R or ER since they need to be radar-guided.

I don't play the campaign, so I'll let someone else answer that, but maybe your throttle is set too high ? Also remember that you use less fuel the higher you are.

I hope I helped.

Haven't played the campaign myself but I took a quick look at a number of the missions and I think you're probably starting with 100% fuel. You should be able to stay in the air for a very long time without refueling with that as long as you're not wasting it.

Above all, stay out of afterburner as much as possible. This includes taking off. Most runways are more than long enough to get into the air with afterburner. And, as mentioned, the higher you fly, the less fuel you use.

Which mission is it specifically? What is it called in the briefing screen?

sounds to me like you are flying with your flaps extended. This will greatly slow you down, to the point of requiring afterburners to get over 700 km/h. Since the SU-27 flap indicator shows the automatic wing droops as well as the flaps, the only way to reliably ensure they are retracted is to look for the two flap-position buttons below the throttle. One is orange, the other blue. The blue button needs to be depressed.

Mission: Fortress Mozdoc

I´m flying as high as the way point marker says around 6000. And I´m not using the afterburner, but last time I tried I manage to fly all the way point and kill two aircraft and then back to airbase. But I did not complete the mission. I don´t know why. The mission was to call in some SU-25 and escort them and I assume kill the enemy on the route. Maybe I call them in the wrong time. but the briefing dont tell anything about it.

You were right about the flaps, but I dont think that was the main problem. pressing the F key does not meant it fully retract sometimes.
