Howdy!

So I bought this wonderful little baby today (May 1st and all). And as I'm bitten by tha Navy bug, I just HAD to try out some carrier ops (dear oh dear, here he goes again). Now I know this is utterly stupid and not very realistic and so on...but I've got three questions:

1. Is there any way to just brake on one of the wheels? To provocate a sideways skid!

On the Sabre it doesn't matter 'cause it was made for that! I just hold the brakes and steer to the side and voila - a slide brake!

But this Mig15 is too stable, even if I use the force brakes (maybe I've missed something, I'm new remember)

2. Is there any way to cheat the lua-file to actually be able to spawn on an aircraft carrier for a mission? I could do that with the Mustang, but this here lua-file is way different in it's structure

3. Can somebody please make an arrestor hook for the Mig-15? ;)

I barely make 50% succesful landings...gimme a hook somebody? :pilotfly:

re.1) Well, You most probably used one-wheel braking already during Your first taxing on the ramp. The plane works just like the -21. Apply full left/right rudder and pull the brake lever -> left/right wheel bakes, the other spins freely. Is it strong enough to cause a "Tokyo drift", however, I don't know, 'cause I never tried to do that :D.

re.2) I've no idea!

Hey drack-man!

It's probably just a few lines of code and some graphics that can be stolen from any other naval aircraft. I edited the Mustang's LUA and got it naval, yeah the AI uses the catapults and arrestor wires! But I see no hook and I can't use the equipment myself. And the Mig's got a waaay different LUA that I can't turn naval. Same thing with the Sabre's LUA

So to conclude: It IS possible and there ARE other flyable aircrafts with hooks. BUT as there's a war on fun, asking for this is like asking for the impossible. There's probably some guy out there with the right info and skills to get both the Mig-15 and Sabre "navalised" in say...ten minutes. But he refuses to do it. Because it's not "correct"...and he's an idiot for thinking that way :helpsmilie:

Yeah your right man.

Would be nice to 'Imagine' the Mig15/F86/Mig21 as a carrier capable A/C.

At least until we get a carrier capable A/C that has AFM.

Just because the Mod is there don't mean you got to use it!:joystick:
