Try the BL-755.

It's specifically designed as an AT cluster bomb and will take out the Leopard 2 with ease.

This is is the British BL-755 anti tank cluster bomb, used against the Leopard 2 tank and delivered by a Mig-21. This bomb isn't modeled like the real one, but is still effective at taking out modern tanks.

Or the RBK 250 PTAB, works just as well.

Or UB 32/16 rockets.

After looking at the above videos I think you're right there was a problem with bad dispersion in my run here https://youtu.be/3zxDdNZGYB0 Maybe the cause of bad effectiveness

Do you mind uploading the .miz file?

Good idea, I just attached it to the original post.

In which mode did you drop the bombs from level flight so accurate?

I used exactly the same sight mode as in dive bombing, but released when the target was just below the pipper.

In my case, the pipper only shows up when i'm in a very steep dive. During level flight, no chance...

Go low, say 500' AGL and flat out level and the pipper will come into view. CBUs are designed to be released this way, or in a shallow dive and this makes them spread over the target making it easier to get a hit. Just a few of the HEAT or shaped charge bomblets are needed for a kill.

Another way to use the same approach to kill a tank.

Low Level, Retarded bomb, BetAB 500 ShP, attack on Leopard 2. Come in low and fast to surprise the defenses. Drop a parachute retarded bomb on the target and get out quick. Much more difficult to achieve than with cluster bombs, but a near miss on the Leopard is all you need to get a kill. Different views on this bomb to try to see the parachute action.

I think that settles it.

Another testing approach would be to place a multitude of tanks one near each other so the target is big enough thus eliminating the problem of near target hit... almost a hit... but close enough in real life... yada dada.

FAB-250 M54 TU is very effective for low level bombing as it has a chute as well.

It works well and is easy to aim to get a kill.

Last weapon to try out is the FAB 250, retarded bomb at low level, against the Leopard 2. Notice how the bomb on the right crosses over to left side.

Might as well add this one and clear my desk.

you mean like this.

Killing tanks with cluster bombs. 11 tanks hit, of which all with over 11 hits (8), died.
