The_Nephilim Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 Hi Everybody, I had put a video up about 2 years ago and some guy came on there and told me my stick was too sensitive I replied back and he never said anymore on the matter and I just had forgotten about it well 2 years up and just a few days ago another poster responded and said I need to set the curve up on my stick within the DCSW Software.. Well low and behold a lightbulb went on cause he stated in clear understandable way that I should plot my curves so my Real stick matches the Ingame stick movement.. Well I did so but in some Jets mostly the fast movers I am maxxed out and +100% and the stick still does not match the movement of the ingame stick but seems much more responsive and Not as sensitive as it was before.. I was wondering what some of you all set the curvature on the X & Y Axis, on the stick to for say the Su-27 or F15?? Fri13 Posted May 11, 2015 Posted May 11, 2015 I was wondering what some of you all set the curvature on the X & Y Axis, on the stick to for say the Su-27 or F15?? Can't use curves as I have Logitech G940 that is Force Feedback Joystick and I have modded it to be with 32cm long extension tube. I fly mainly helicopters so the stick is better be long. While on Su-27 that stick is way too sensitive by default. Some point need to disable force and apply curves and slow down the axis levels as it doesn't feel realistic to fly a jet that can do 12 rolls in a second with small twist in stick ;) i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.

I tend to use a curvature of about 20 on the stick axis and 15 on the rudder.
The_Nephilim Posted May 12, 2015 Author Posted May 12, 2015 OK having read the guide on the Mig-21bis I have reset all my curves lower at around 25 with a deadzone of 3.. I will give these a try and see how it goes initial flight seemed ok and responsive without being to responsive.. look forward to wed. night flight.. marluk Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 I'm using TM Warthog stick and I don't have any sensitivity issues. This is maybe obvious, but have you tried to calibrate joystick? How it looks when you check raw data input in Windows Game controllers dialog? *NOB* Lucky [SIGPIC][/SIGPIC] Tko vrijedi leti, tko leti vrijedi, tko ne leti ne vrijedi
The_Nephilim Posted May 12, 2015 Author Posted May 12, 2015 Yes Of Course it is calibrated.. I used to think the same thing and it turned out my stick was too sensitive I would barley touch iut and it would bank left or right with hardly moving the stick.. I think I struck a good balance but eill continue to fine tune the curves.. Screamadelica Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 A curvature of 20 on the joystick axis gives a good result, just enough to smooth the movement in the centre area.
