Tsotne Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Is Eagle Dynamics the only company left who does Modern Flight Combat sims? MFS X does not count :)
FlyingHighAU Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 well basically yes :) It's a good thing that they also to be the best modern combat flight sim developers too :D There are a few others doing f/a-18c and an apache, but I don't ever see them being proper flight simulators, certainly not on the level of DCS in any regard. (if they were smart they would be making modules for the existing DCS community and leveraging DCS World 2 and the huge amount of enemy units AI, map editor, multiplayer code etc etc).
plehmann Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 VRS f/A18 with TACPAC for Prepar3d...study sim level this one
NeilWillis Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 VRS f/A18 with TACPAC for Prepar3d...study sim level this one Fighting against whom?
audax Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Against other simmers with the same software stack of course. TACPAC has plenty of compatible modules.
Mr_Burns Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Cant believe I bought LOMAC in 2003! There has not been another like it since 2003. 12 years!!!! And you know what, in 12 years they havn't managed to make an immersive campaign, yeah its a study sim and i love it to bits, but in 12 years they havnt made a single player campaign that I care about. Still love it, just sayin!

In some ways I'm kind of glad there isn't a full dynamic campaign with dcs (yet), I might forget to sleep and eat and I'm pretty sure my wife would leave me and my son would grow up fatherless if there was. ;) PC: 6600K @ 4.5 GHz, 12GB RAM, GTX 970, 32" 2K monitor.
