Ultra Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 (edited) Why does my Maverick want to lock on to power line towers so badly? There will be a white hot vehicle right in the middle of my camera and it will jump all the way to the grayish metal power line tower on the edge of the screen, it's very annoying. I can't target anything if it's within 30 meters of a tower. Is this correct behavior for the Maverick? PS: Happens with both infrared and charge-coupled models Edited May 30, 2015 by Ultra
BinaryMan Posted May 30, 2015 Posted May 30, 2015 The mavericks tend to want to lock onto everything right now. Power lines, buildings, you name it. If your target is among a lot of objects, good luck, you'll need it. If your problem is between one vehicle and 1 object, you can try and place your cursor as far away from the problem object as you can while close enough to still get a lock on the vehicle. I think there are other problems with the A10-A right now, that seem to have been around for a while. I think they've all been reported but unresolved. The cbu97 being the most aggravating. Good luck flying.
Ultra Posted May 30, 2015 Author Posted May 30, 2015 Yeah, the A-10A is also suffering from the same pipper slewing problems as the SU-25A. Hopefully some fixes are lined up for the next update.
Scarecrow Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Been reported many times, the mavs aren't so much of a bug but more of a limitation of their simulation:music_whistling: The pipper thing is weird and the fact it hasn't been fixed already makes me think it has to do with the way the sim deals with absolute analogue axis data. Which might be to much work to fix:(
Ultra Posted June 4, 2015 Author Posted June 4, 2015 Thanks for the response, I didn't know it had been reported before. That's unfortunate, hopefully they can make some changes to it in the future. :(
