So it is true, the "Tunguska missile" really is both smokeless and small, like the Tunguska article said, only the first stage has a rocket motor, the second stage coasts on inertia, and leaves no smoke trail at all. Let's hope they'll fix that in BS and give some Tunguskas to other nations (perhaps Ukraine got a few) so we can have this pleasant surprise in our RWR-less Airwolf-like flying predatorial fish. It even guides immediately after launch, and not as many have speculated, after the 2.6 second first stage burn.

Then the Klinok missile lacks the directional thrusters, causing it to lose precious time, while making its parabolic flight. ED knows how to do this, as the mighty Tor in Flanker 1.5 had this working as well, again, raising the PK and range.

 

Guess the sailor with a flare gun is some sort of last resort measure in case that big chaff/flare bloom won't fool the missile :P
