How do I remove the (3x) button press requirement

I'm trying to create my own eject lever and I can't get it to work right without removing the 3x key stroke. Can anyone show me how to remove it? I would like to avoid using a third party software to emulate it.:helpsmilie:

I would like to implement an ejection handle in the seat bound to the Eject command in the sim but the 3x Ctrl+E requisite is something I have to get rid of too

Modify the Lua file

Maybe this could help.

 

Find common_keyboard_binding.lua and base_keyboard_binding.lua and similar for the plane you want to change key binding.

 

Backup original lua files and open them for edit. Try to find binding for Eject command. Also take a look how some regular commands are defined

i.e.

{combos = {{key = 'L', reformers = {'RShift'}}}, down = iCommandPowerOnOff, name = 'Electric Power Switch', category = 'Systems'}

 

Find Eject command definition and replace it with corresponding regular binding style definition.

Just find that binding in the key commands and change it to your new hardware? I have the eject set to a button on my throttle and all i have to do is hit it one time(but i did also use a modifier so it is 2 keys really this way i don't push by mistake) hope that helps:thumbup:

I use space bar. 3 times but it is quick. (unfortunately I tend to delay the ejection and get killed many times).

 

Alternatively you can create a voice attack command and you can just say a word and it will to fast typing for you the command 3 times as DCS requires.

 

And if you want it on a lever add that lever to voice attack as joystick button recognition
