yoevro Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 I've done some searching on this issue, but I haven't found a solution. Usually what happens is in the middle of a multiplayer session (lots of times in the middle of a dogfight) the sim will freeze until I start task manager. after starting task manager i get a "DCS.exe has stopped working" message, and have to "click to terminate the program." it doesnt seem to occur at any particular time which is what's kindof confusing. could this be a ping issue? i'm attaching my latest crash logs in case that will help. thanks, guys.DCS-20150606-195841.zip System Specs: Windows 7 64 bit Intel i7-4790k @4.0Ghz Corsair H100i 16 gigs Gskill DDR3 2x Gigabyte GTX-970 G1 Gaming SLI MSI z97 G5 500GB intel SSD Corsair HX850 TPLink Wireless adapter Qnix 27" monitor at 2650 x 1440 Controllers: Saitek X52 CH Pro Rudder pedals TrackIR 4 Modules: A-10C, P-51D, Fw-190D9, Bf-109-K4, F-15C, UH-1H, Mi-8, C-101, Su-27, MiG-21BIS, MiG-15BIS, F-86F, Ka-50
SharpeXB Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I was having a lot of freeze/crash trouble with DCS and EVGA sent me a Display Driver Uninstaller utility to completely uninstall any drivers in my system. That seems to have helped a lot. Also my PC maker got on my system and removed a lot of malware and junk. i9-14900KS | ASUS ROG MAXIMUS Z790 HERO | 64GB DDR5 5600MHz | iCUE H150i Liquid CPU Cooler | ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4090 OC | Windows 11 Home | 2TB Samsung 980 PRO NVMe | Corsair RM1000x | LG 48GQ900-B 4K OLED Monitor | CH Fighterstick | Ch Pro Throttle | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR 5
yoevro Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 Thanks for the reply! ill keep that in mind. i'd rather not remove the GPU drivers if i dont absolutely have to. maybe i'll save that for a last resort. Update: The problem doesn't seem to be only limited to multiplayer sessions as I previously thought. have some more details here. this is the info i got from the "problem details" window after a crash while trying to fly a single player mission in the UH-1. yoevro Posted June 8, 2015 Author Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) thanks for the advice. ran a repair yesterday, and am still having the same issue. I'm pretty sure it was successful but I'll try again. yoevro Posted June 21, 2015 Author Posted June 21, 2015 i've opened a support ticket for this issue. ED support doesn't seem to be able to help much other than telling me that they think it's a video driver issue. anyone have any other advice? i've run the vcredist_x64 repair that comes with DCS World, reinstalled directx... just reinstalled the entire game as well with no luck.
