I just wanted to pass along a small request related to keybinds. With the Mig-21, cockpit rotary knobs (like the weapon pylon selector) have keybinds for each individual position. This is inconvenient so I am hoping that LN will *not* do this for the F-14 and other modules in development.

It would be much simpler for HOTAS / button-box users (I use one of these ) if we had next/prev or increment/decrement style binds. This way a single button / rotary can naturally operate a knob.

PS - I know this has been requested as a fix in the Mig-21 forum, but I recognize that ship may have sailed. So this request is really for the in-dev modules only! :)

Why not both? I like having both discrete buttons as well as cycle keys; gives me more flexibility when mapping controllers. For discrete buttons, I just create a controller array in TARGET and I can both create a function to cycle items using the HOTAS and map individual buttons to MFD buttons.

I'm not against both, but most of the other modules support incr/decr keys for things that are on knobs. This is convenient b/c you're not required to use 3rd party software to manage the cycling. We're not all using TARGET, after all.

They've already said they'll be "fixing" the key-mapping on the Fishbed at some point so I'd assume the the F14 will have the key-mapping style we desire from the beginning this time.

Oh great! I hadn't heard, but that is delightful news.

I suspect all changes are more-or-less on hold until DCS 2.0, but that's something to look forward to.
