  1. Edit: This thread was what I missing: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=169153&page=2 @klem - The bulk of this thread is from >6 months ago, and the first mention of the "map-on-left, click in center" issue is only a few weeks old. I didn't see any successful workarounds posted. Can you link me more specifically to what I am overlooking?
  2. Is there a place to follow along for any workarounds or fixes for the new map bug? I noticed the "map on left, click in center" issue here just today.
  3. Oh great! I hadn't heard, but that is delightful news. I suspect all changes are more-or-less on hold until DCS 2.0, but that's something to look forward to.
  4. I'm not against both, but most of the other modules support incr/decr keys for things that are on knobs. This is convenient b/c you're not required to use 3rd party software to manage the cycling. We're not all using TARGET, after all.
  5. I just wanted to pass along a small request related to keybinds. With the Mig-21, cockpit rotary knobs (like the weapon pylon selector) have keybinds for each individual position. This is inconvenient so I am hoping that LN will *not* do this for the F-14 and other modules in development. It would be much simpler for HOTAS / button-box users (I use one of these ) if we had next/prev or increment/decrement style binds. This way a single button / rotary can naturally operate a knob. PS - I know this has been requested as a fix in the Mig-21 forum, but I recognize that ship may have sailed. So this request is really for the in-dev modules only! :)
  6. @feefifofum - they do *not* tell you to escort them on the way back. They tell you to RTB. You're right about the triggers / win condition - those require you to escort them out. That discrepancy is the problem.
  7. Funny, I was on my way to report this as well - I just discovered it today. .miz attached - it took me ~5 minutes to make so nothing crazy going on. Free flight - lots of flyables.miz
  8. Just wanted to toss my feedback so far: Hammerfall 3 - a nice improvement from the first version. That one was tough, but this one is tougher! Well done. "Scramble" - a simple, but excellent mission, with a few surprises in store. Props for taking the idea to the logical result: a plane ... configured... as it is. :)
  9. Seems like the binding bug got fixed with the latest update, despite the lack of mention in the changelog.
  10. I recently saw this video and noticed in this frame: That the pilot has an artificial horizon provided by the HMS. Is that a mod or stock functionality? How is that enabled?
  11. 39 AA kills, 9 AG kills. Not sure how to find the scores at this point since the logbook still doesn't record individual aircraft stuff for me anymore. Just my $0.02, but A-G in the flanker is super fun. :) I... didn't expect the full set of bombs to come off the rail in the convoy-hunting mission, luckily I was nicely aligned but the effect definitely gave me a s***-eating grin. ;)
  12. Thanks Baltic! Looking forward to flying the updated 1st part (again sorta?) and the forthcoming part 2. Quick question - will there be a single "Enemy Within" campaign that plays from mission 1 all the way through to 18, or will the release ultimately be split into parts 1 & 2?
  13. One more quick pet peeve: If the user has failed the mission - *tell* them. There is nothing more frustrating than thinking you did the job but mysteriously fail the mission anyway. Context: I played a bit of the old converted Devil's Cross campaign for the A-10 last night and there is one mission (#4) where you have to escort some ground guys. In that mission it was basically impossible to tell if they were still alive or if I was just wasting my time. Hint: it was the latter.
  14. Lots of good feedback, just wanted to throw my own comments in with respect to length of time. My own gaming time is typically limited to 1-2 hours, tops. I am quite happy playing a single mission for the whole time, but it royally sucks to play that long and not hit all the triggers or otherwise have to try again the next time. On a quick mission, if I mess up, I can just try again. That's annoying but I'm ok with it. But on a long mission - I'd say it is best to make sure the user knows what they need to do to progress. Whether that is in the form of good intel or a good briefing or a partially scripted JTAC or what is up to the designer - just give hints, since real pilots surely would be getting hints from friendlies.
  15. Hi, I just finished the campaign (very fun!), and on the victory screen I had a big orange "warning missing texture" where the photo would be. Just passing it along...
  16. In mission 11, where you have to hunt down the predator drone, for some reason the AWACS never seems to take off. I tried it twice thinking maybe I missed something, but neither time did the AWACS ever leave the ground. I checked the mission editor but I'm out of my element here. It seemed odd to me that the awacs only had a single waypoint - takeoff from ramp start, and no further waypoints, but I don't know much about mission design. Fortunately I took a hint as to the altitude for the drone and flew the mission without AWACS, but I am pretty sure something is wrong. Did I miss something? Is this a bug?
  17. Yep, this got me too. When I got the RTB call over the target area I assumed that meant I should ... RTB. If the instructions said "make sure the Su-25s make it home safely" or something, then I'd have known what to do. Well, maybe, hindsight and all...
  18. "Damn the atolls, full speed ahead!" That seems like it'd be a fun mission to fly - race to the border!
  19. I'm mostly waiting on a campaign. Even if we don't know the release timing, is a campaign planned?
  20. I had this same problem as well. Hopefully on my next attempt they land instead of going underground.
  21. Thanks for your work on the campaign - looking forward to trying it!
