Snacko Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 I have been doing several tests using the MiG21bis. I have the 'Save Snapviews' box checked in the the game options. And I have been doing this for years. And I have set the snapviews in the MiG21bis before, because the Numpad keys 1,2,3 & 5 are all set to look Left, Center, Right panels, and then the HUD. I can set and save Snapviews in any mission and they seem to work when I press the keys. And when I exit the mission, the Users Snapviews.lua file's Date Modified changes to 'now'. So it's saved it!!! But when I reload a multplayer mission the snapviews are all reset to the last time that I saved them a month ago.(I think) They are NOT what I just saved and tested!! Except if I set them from the Single Player/Quick Mission. That always loads the new Snapview Settings from the snapviews.lua file in the C:\Users folder. So, I am confused as to where Multiplayer Missions, (and even if I fly a Multiplayer in Single-player mode), gets their Snapviews. They look like my old snapviews..(Left, Center, Right, HUD). Or maybe I am seeing some Mig21 default snapviews for 1,2,3 & 5? I don't remember what the defaults are.. This is confusing. Where is it reading these snapviews from? Is this another MiG21bis bug?? How I Save Snapviews: I press the Num0 & Numpadkey to select a snapview I then customize my view, and press RALT+Num0 to save. Then my new snapview always works when I press the Num0 & that Numpad key. Until I restart the multiplayer mission... Blooze Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Change the file extension for the mission from miz to zip and open the file, delete the options file, then change it back to miz and try again. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Snacko Posted June 23, 2015 Author Posted June 23, 2015 Thanks, I renamed it and deleted the snapviews.lua file and renamed it back to miz. That fixed it!! Can you explain what happened there? Why is there a snapview.lua file in a mission????? (This mission was originally a generated mission from the Fast Mission Builder.) Snacko Posted June 24, 2015 Author Posted June 24, 2015 But, how did the Snapviews get saved inside the mission? I thought they were only a personal view setting. Certainly I don't want to 'force' every player to use my personal snapviews?
