Highwayman-Ed Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 :joystick: If anyone here purchased this disgrace of a software title, you may be pleased to hear that play.com are offering refunds if you ask. I posted this message on the Blazing Angels forum, but had my account disabled for doing so... I sent the message to Play explaining that I did not hold play.com responsible, and that the software itself was at fault with no patches (that worked) to address the issue in over a month, and no expected release date for one. So, if any of you purchased it from www.play.com within the last 28 days, ask for a refund, and you'll get it. Muchos loyalty points Play! Pilotasso Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Just jumped to their site, nice presentation and awsome graphicvs but where are the cocpit screenshots? What seems to be wrong with this SIM? .
Shaman Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 It's not a SIM, Pilotasso. It's chase-cam action shooter. 51PVO Founding member (DEC2007-) 100KIAP Founding member (DEC2018-) :: Shaman aka [100☭] Shamansky tail# 44 or 444 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 100KIAP Regiment Early Warning & Control officer
Pilotasso Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 It's not a SIM, Pilotasso. It's chase-cam action shooter. LOL i.e. C.R.A.P. I guess they made a cute graphics engine that awes everybody but extracts curses out of the simmer after playing. Its the old principle "make the graphics to sell the game". Its sad realy. .
ARM505 Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 I don't think it made any pretences about being a sim - it was clear it was a chase cam consoly thing from the start, and hence worthy of avoidance, from my side.
Highwayman-Ed Posted May 22, 2006 Author Posted May 22, 2006 Absolutley, it was nothing but a Friday night shoot em up when you're too "out of shape" to fly properly ;) I bought it after seeing it on a friends XBOX 360 where it looked like a good laugh. Unfortunatley, multiplayer on PC had many issues, and only about 5% of gamepads and joysticks work with it at all... Turns out to just be a cheap port of an XBOX game. phantom_fly85 Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 Yeah, I wanted to try the demo, but the controls were FUBAR! I had a devil of a time to install it too. Had to update everything to get it to a UI screen.

rekoal Posted May 22, 2006 Posted May 22, 2006 my brother went out and brought this game, yeah all looked fine on the box! but when i got out my joystick i just coulnt adjust to the lack of realism! i mean when you turn the joystick left you expect to keep rolling left! but no it holds it steady! and wilst turning from lomac and real life you have to keep the nose up or your crash! nope not in this game pull back und you just to a loop the loop! major disapointment on my side rekoal
