Dodger, those buildings are pretty much stock with the unmodded version of the game. I've used them as cover while waiting to ambush armored columns. The best part...it runs well, even on a 650MHz PIII. The graphics, although a little rough, are actually still not all that bad. GREAT!!! GRRR!!! Now I'm going to have to reinstall mine and will probably burn the whole weekend flying missions in the Comanche. :D

That auto updater tool is slick.

It will go out and download and install all the updates for you but be prepared it will take sometime to complete all the updates

Yup, its something to do while eating dinner. Even with a cable connection, downloading all the updates (and there were SEVERAL), using the auto-updata (heh...was the author from Massachusetts or Maine? ;) ), took at least 30 minutes. Its still a relevant sim, the snow covered trees in the Alaska maps are friggin' awesome! :D

I think it's really good. Especially when you enable the advanced FM mode.

We must have looked at different sites Dodger ? :-)

Those city shots had a higher building density than LO (well some did anyway - though the article warned turning the density this high could bog down any machine), but the actual detail of the structures was LOW & the terrain - even modded - looked pretty rough.

Might be a great game & that many structures in the cities might make for great ambush possibilities, but it those screenshots didn't look graphically 'pretty' at all

Cheers.

Nope...the terrain sucks, in comparison to LOMAC...but the buildings and some of the terrain features in the mods still kick ass. Urban combat is friggin' awesome though...and back when I used to play the game heavily, I was on a PIII 650. No stuttering and no slide-shows.

Remember how old this game is. In all fairness, people should be comparing its graphics with that of Falcon AF, since they were both released about the same time and have been heavily modded since.

Mind you, I personally think the graphics look great. I spent many an hour on this sim when it first came out, and after seeing the SimHQ article I've just bought a copy from Ebay to do it all over again! Should absolutely rock with TrackIR!

What a sweet video. The formation flying part was humerous.

I have to say that video is at least as impressive as any black shark demo I have seen. They already have cockpit pilot animations.

The snow scenary / terrain towards the end (although not in hi res to really compare) looks far superior to the winter terrain in lomac.

Do the guys at EECH development have further mods planned?

Razorworks isn't supporting EECH anymore, for several years already.

But the code is open-source now. The rights still belong to them, but the community can develop and publish addons and improvements - and they do a good job :)
