Key Commands

Hey gang,

 

I own and have installed Black Shark 2 module within DCS World. I have been searching through the installed files, I am trying to locate a list of key commands for this sim. I found a downloadable list in one of the sticky threads above, however it is dated like in 2008.

 

Is this list still accurate for BS2? I just need something I can print out, so I can reference it to create a TARGET profile for my Warthog.

I don't have the sim installed right now, so can't check - but I'm pretty sure there is a key command list in the docs folder for the Ka50.

 

Used to be , for sure - I still have mine printed out.

But if you can't find complete keycommand list, do this:

 

Launch DCS World.

Click Options.

Go to Systems tab.

Select Ka-50 aircraft and All category from pull-down menu.

Now, click Make HTML button located on right-bottom.

 

HTML file location will be displayed automatically. You can print it.

Or, even better, import it into a spreadsheet program and sort it in a way that is useful.

Mine is located at:

 

I have Windows 7, click Start button, then click Computer :

 

C:\ Users\"username"\Saved Games\DCS\InputLayoutsTxt\Ka-50 Sim\Keyboard.html

 

But as Devrim stated, Options\Controls will show you the path at the top of your screen when you click "MAKE HTML" . You will be taken right to Ka-50 Sim in the path above.

Ok so anyway it has been quite a while since I have played around with BS, heck this was before it was integrated into DCS World I think. I had gotten somewhat proficient in flying it around, never really learned the weapons and avionics all that much.

 

So I thought I would load up a free flight mission, and take it for a spin before setting up my TARGET profile. Crap, I could not handle it worth a flip, I was all over the place. The bird just kept tilting over to the left, eventually to where I would crash into the ground.

 

Ok so I go check my controls, and it had assigned many of the same axis to multiple controllers. ( I have a Warthog joystick and throttle, CH Throttle Quadrandt, and Saitek Combat Pedals).

So got all the duplicates cleared out and axis set properly, loaded up a free flight mission again, and yeah man, I can still at least fly this bird. Took off , flew around, and landed multiple times. Bent the gear once, but that was about the worse of my landings.

 

Ahh, feels good to be in that cockpit again. Now with the offseason here on my end, I can spend some quality time with it on some weekends to maybe learn it better and actually get into some campaign flying.

But first, now to get that TARGET profile created...
