Revelation Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 First off, congrats guys on getting to the pre-order stage! My joy is moving mud, so my questions will focus on the a2g aspect for now. There have been a few videos showcasing radar, A/A and some limited A/G. My request is a more detailed demonstration of CCRP. I imagine CCRP can be done via waypoints, similar to the A-10C, how does the pilot input coordinates? How does the pilot create a new point for CCRP attacks? I've seen the video of the FSX version dropping LGBs while getting release queues from a Hornet. What about if a JTAC is already on site? What about if a FAC is already circling the target area? With the A-10C the pilot has the ability to create mark points on the TAD, or input coordinates. What options, and can you do short video demonstration, do Mirage pilots have? How does the pilot create a new point for CCRP attacks? I would also like to know this. If we can enter coords we get from someone else (lets say an A10) to then drop LGBs on it it will be fun , but if we cant then finding the right target could be problematic
Zeus67 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 Folks, that is why it is a pre-sell. We will have those ready for the open beat, but at this time we are using iron sights with the bombs because we need the INS system for the CCIP and CCRP and it is being coded as we speak. I think the question isn't about how it works right now in the sim but how it is intended to work at release :joystick: I'm just trying to get a feeling of how operations will work :) Edited September 18, 2015 by McBlemmen
Zeus67 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I think the question isn't about how it works right now in the sim but how it is intended to work at release :joystick: As close as possible to the real thing. Info is quite limited on weapons management/release as you can imagine. I really don't know anything about mirage 2000 other then the stuff i've picked up here on the forums. I didn't realize info was limited.
Zeus67 Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 You can get plenty of information about the weapons, but nearly nothing about how to use them. Cool Breeze Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I imagine once we get the 2k much of the info will be covered in the training videos? As far as tactic for weapons employment we should be bugging Mirage pilots not the devs. Most of it we have to develop our own Tactics, Technics, and Procedures for the aircraft. Cause who reads manuals anyways! Looks great guys nice work! FlyingHighAU Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 I'd love to see just a general demonstration tbh - perhaps wags can shows a little bit on the next stream :)
jojo Posted September 18, 2015 Posted September 18, 2015 CCRP in Mirage 2000 C doesn't mean the same thing as US aircraft. You can't perform a "blind" level release with M2000C. You enter target coordinate in INS to help visually aim the target. Then this is dive aiming (with radar ranging) and pull up release. http://www.ina.fr/video/CPC08003568/red-flag-95-video.html Mirage 2000N during Red Flag, see it at 9'59'' 1 Mirage fanatic ! Revelation Posted September 19, 2015 Author Posted September 19, 2015 Here's a video by M2M showing A/G attack demonstrations in FSX. More importantly for me were the demonstrations regarding CCIP, and the two types of CCRP. In this vid it mentions putting in coordinates. So I believe that what I am looking for is coming in regards to A/G. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT
