LockOn Modern Air Combat does not have electronic warfare aircrafts. Why? Is it so hard to make? After all these are very important units in todays air operations...

That's because the very, very basic ECM is moddeled; always on, continious transmission, no intervals, no jamming modes, no directional jamming, nothing, only this "look at me, my ecm is on" thing that will get you killed. Ergo, no real ecm, no ecm aircraft.

anyone here know how ECM works? I mean, how exactly AN/ALQ-167 or AN/ALQ-161A works, for example? algorithms of changing frequency and phases? modes and detailed descriptions?

that's why we modelled "basic" ECM ;)

"There are five dangerous faults which may affect a general: recklessness, which leads to destruction; cowardice, which leads to capture; a hasty temper, which can be provoked by insults; a delicacy of honor which is sensitive to shame; over-solicitude for his men, which exposes him to worry and trouble." ...So pitty! This sim is not worth title Modern Air Combat but Virtual Simplified Air Combat :(. Joking again. I know it's a liitle complicated. Maybe sending F-111, EF-18 Growler or EA-6 Prowler with simplified ECM switched on in the air would cause a mess ("Look at me, here I am - your most dangerous threat, shoot at me!").

Is there some sims to purchase with modelled EW (I'm not asking about model for example EA-6 Prowler but whole ECM)?

I'll try to send You mates some of the literatures about AN/ALQ-167 and AN/ALQ-161A.

if by "some of the literatures" you meant pages from popular websites, then we already have it ;)

but if you meant technical or operation manuals for this kind of devices - we gladly accept it.

Ah..excuses.

You surelly don't have that kind of uber infomation about many of the weapons that are used in the sim. Complete info about performance and combat record, probability of kill in diffrent conditions, warhead logic, lots of this is still classified and missiles are in-game. (we're looking forward is that new advanced flight model for weapons)

I'm sure you guys can also include additional EW equipment and planes in your next sim. Just try to mimic how dedicated eletronic warfare plane "sorta" works like - I'm sure you already know enough to make brand new "basic model MK2 :) " of ECM.

Not from the websites ofcourse. I'll try to help sending those scans of brochures but I think You know exacly that You could put EW on a higher level. You've done nice job with Su-25T. Don't give up! (It sounds like dialogs from US movies: "You can do it").

You get the typical answers (we don’t take any criticism in here) as usual in this forum (a lot of f-22 nut-drivers too)

A better question would be: “Why an 8 year old sim like Falcon 4 SP4/FF3/Cobra (whatever version) have electronic warfare aircrafts and why LockOn Modern Air Combat do not have any? “

BTW, It would be very easy to disable them with online missions.

Or it could be because jamming is quite a complex thing - in fact, even JF-18 who were able to do the best representation of radar work over all, only touched on the surface of jamming capability.

BTW. Do the EW crafts actually -do- something useful in F4?

Reminder: SAM = Speed Bump :D

I used to play flight sims like you, but then I took a slammer to the knee - Yoda
