ekg Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Is there a glossary of terms anywhere on here? Maybe a wiki? Some threads are difficult to follow because certain terms are not 100% clear.
ekg Posted September 29, 2015 Author Posted September 29, 2015 what do you mean? For example I didn't know what was meant by flame-out in this thread that I started: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2489060 I think that it would be useful to have a reference for terms like that.
Ala13_ManOWar Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 May be some link to any aviation basics web? It would be nice for beginners having where to look for basics, but I don't think ED have anything to do with that. Perhaps a sticky where newbies can ask for things and people can help? But you can already do that in the forum. S! "I went into the British Army believing that if you want peace you must prepare for war. Coxy_99 Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I get where the OP is coming from when i first joined my squadron i had no idea about what they were on about lol
grunf Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 It would be nice to have a glossary and abbreviations on the forum or wiki. Some DCS manuals come with a short list of abbreviations. If I don't understand something, I google it. :smartass:
Charly_Owl Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 Is there a glossary of terms anywhere on here? Maybe a wiki? Some threads are difficult to follow because certain terms are not 100% clear. Depends what terms. I included a list of A-10-related terms in my Quick A-10C Guide. There are other lists of terms for brevity talk in the forums as well. Most of the complicated terms are aircraft-specific. Lots of terms for the Ka-50 for instance mean nothing for a A-10 pilot and vice-versa. Chuck's DCS Tutorial Library Chuck's Guides on Mudspike Chuck's Youtube Channel Chuck's Patreon
