It's a bug and it's already reported. As far as KM-8 goes (that big round thing in the back), you can change it by adding L39-CPT-INSTR-03 texture (L39-INSTR-03 material name). Aaaaand I also already uploaded the english MIP textures 9 posts above yours :music_whistling: Although I forgot about that damn km8

I am not sure I understood at what bug are you refering. If it's the shimmer in general... yes... I know that's why I posted here and not in a new thread :D.

 

What I uploaded there is something a bit different than yours (your upload I used it for comparison and I was surprised to see the textures from liveries folder being used... must be the lua for English that redirects to them. However, I uploaded both sets of textures (the zip from "cockpit" and the ones un-archived from "liveries") and we can compare the results and see what would be best. I saw your files are smaller, are you using DTX1/3 or 5? Or a custom profile?

 

I will check the lua and that instrument 03 if I copy to "liveries" if something change.

These are Russian textures that are used in the English cockpit.

In my pack there should not be problems with other textures as I "remipmapped" all. However the textures controlled by L39-CPT-PANEL-01_1.dds are odd. In front seat they don't work no matter what and in the back seat work but just the numbers inside the right dial don't.

 

Here is what is best now. You can install and test with JSGME as previous described:

Your folder structure appears to be incorrect - "L-39C\Cockpit\Textures" should instead be "L-39C\Textures" for the base Russian textures.

 

With folder structure fixed, adding _ENG files and adjusting description.lua is also no longer necessary as the sim will draw all remaining mipmapped files from "L-39C\Textures" after it is done looking in the "english" folder.

I got messed up because of the beta folder tree change it seems, my bad. I will re-upload the mod corrected and update the links.

 

 

I see. I wonder if something somehow similar is happening with the central console of Mi-8.
