Grimes Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 The R-828 is a radio that has predefined frequencies set, before 1.5 you had to modify files in the game in order to change these frequencies. With the 1.5 update you can now edit the frequencies in the mission editor for a flight of Ka-50s. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Reaper6 Posted October 5, 2015 Author Posted October 5, 2015 Just to add what Grimes said, the R-828 is for the NDB(Non directional Beacons). The yellow needle on the HSI, and the ABRIS. You had to modify this before in the .lua files. Most Ka50 pilots pay no attention to this, but for me it has always been very helpful. Reaper6 I thought the R-828 was a VHF-FM communication radio ("VHF-1" on the SPU-9 selector and wall panel power switches), albeit non-functional in pre-1.5. The ARK-22 is the ADF for tuning NDB's, a separate radio system. I know they both had .lua files in the manner you described. Afterburners are for wussies...hang around the battlefield and dodge tracers like a man. DCS Rotor-Head
