matty78 Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Dear ED and all guys, today when i fly with L39, some effects are strange: If you set the trim noise to keep the "0" vertical speed (alignement to the orizontal), at for example 70% of V2 and than push full trottle, the L39 starting to going with noise down and than going up, and if you going to IDLE with a trottle, first the noise start going up (with vertical speed around 5°) and after the L39 start going down. Why? The effects look like reverse... Thank for your answer in advance:helpsmilie: Matteo
Zebra288 Posted October 10, 2015 Posted October 10, 2015 IIRC, that is the real behavior, the jet wash is angled down ever so slightly compared to the incidence of the aircraft.
matty78 Posted October 14, 2015 Author Posted October 14, 2015 Oh, thanks so much. I really don't know about this till now. But alle turbine jet like this or just some specify models?
gospadin Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 Oh, thanks so much. I really don't know about this till now. But alle turbine jet like this or just some specify models? Depends on the airplane. Axis of thrust relative to the position of the center of mass, plus off-center airframe drag would have speed-dependent components. jonboede Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 (edited) Engine in the sim runs too hot. On start it should go to about 450 + OAT. If I see over 520 on start, I am pulling the throttle off. Because if it goes above that it's going to keep going and then it's time to empty the fire bottle and go have some beers. At max power it should be 580 + OAT. The engine in the videos so far shows higher than that. Maybe that's why it smokes so much. :-) The overhaul facility would be very happy to $ell you a new engine. Very, very happy. Derbysieger Posted October 16, 2015 Posted October 16, 2015 (edited) For me it hits just below 520°C for short moment (it doesn't get to 520°C!) before it stabilizes around 420ish in idle. At max power I see a little more than 580°C (maybe 581 or 582), at 102% N1 it's 525°C. So that's pretty much in line with what you're saying, right? Maybe a small deviation here and there but it's minimal.
