Laro Posted October 14, 2015 Posted October 14, 2015 The settings for Autorudder and T/O-Assistance are server side not client side. E.g. i have Autorudder enabled, it works in SP but in MP i get T/O-Assistance or no assistance at all (whatever settings the host runs) Tested on BF-109 & FW-190.

Laro Posted November 15, 2015 Author Posted November 15, 2015 Autorudder still doesn't work in MP. @chrisofsweden: I hope not, as this would be a disadvantage for everyone without rudder pedals.

Don't speak for everyone. I don't have pedals and I turn AutoRudder and Takeoff Assistance off for every module that has it as I don't like it interfering, especially T/O Assist. Quite a few others do the same. Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!

If you don't have rudder pedals and turn autorudder off, your aircraft will fly uncoordinated most of the time (e.g. BF-109). What everyone should have, is a choice to use it or not. I didn't say that everyone needs/likes it.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 15, 2015 ED Team Posted November 15, 2015 (edited) I am pretty sure this is working as intended, the host controls this setting. If it is not changing when the host changes the setting then that maybe an issue. Autorudder and T/O-Assistance are a server side setting to ensure a level playing field for pvp and tournaments and so on. That was my understanding, if I am wrong someone will correct me. But where is the option for the host to allow it? There is no option for take off assist and auto rudder in the ME. Fox Spoiler PC Specs: Ryzen 9 5900X, 3080ti, 64GB RAM, Oculus Quest 3
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 15, 2015 ED Team Posted November 15, 2015 But where is the option for the host to allow it? There is no option for take off assist and auto rudder in the ME. Fox Takes it from the hosts own settings, either when the mission is saved or when the mission is hosted I can not remember, but I will ask. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 15, 2015 ED Team Posted November 15, 2015 I am being told it takes it from the mission file, so the mission designers Autorudder and T/O-Assistance settings choice are carried to the .miz Forum rules - DCS Crashing? iFoxRomeo Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 I am being told it takes it from the mission file, so the mission designers Autorudder and T/O-Assistance settings choice are carried to the .miz But that would mean I can´t allow it for those who want/need it, because I would force those to use it, who don´t want/need it. And if the mission creator doesn´t have one of those modules, he can´t activate this feature, because he doesn´t have the special page in the game settings. ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 15, 2015 ED Team Posted November 15, 2015 You can see this is no win scenario for ED as soon as you give the player the choice another player will say they have an unfair advantage. iFoxRomeo Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Well, as a mission creator I have the option to allow game flight mode for those who want it, without forcing it on the others. But I don´t want to start a discussion about that. It was just a thought. Maybe they change it later. Fox Spoiler PC Specs: Ryzen 9 5900X, 3080ti, 64GB RAM, Oculus Quest 3
