I noticed a lack of ground units for ground power, fuel trucks, ladder and even a heater for winter. So I guess this is either a wish list thing or something I might tackle myself. Either way. jocko417 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Would be cool to have a GPU appear plugged into aircraft with appropriate noise for engine starts, and have it disappear when telling the ground crew chief to "turn off the ground power"... Has been done in other sims.
vicx Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Ground equipment is something I think is officially coming for a few modules. The C-101 has a ground power prop that appears when you need it. Still I think you should tackle some objects yourself. I'd be interested in the results. I know some people just want to fly the aircraft in DCS but I like how DCS makes a nice viewer for 1:1 scale model virtual aircraft. With a VR HMD this side of DCS becomes even better. It is great being able to go into external view in VR and just look at stuff. Of course the next step is being able to walk around a little bit. My personal preference would be for ammunition so you can lay it all out as you see in photos from arms trade shows. I know eventually all the aircraft will get their ground equipment ... but who is going to make DCS:Arms Dealer models so I can lay out my virtual arsenal :gun_smilie:
