F-15 rudder press drops my fps

Recommended Posts

Pressing either right or left rudder drops fps dramatically (from about 60fps to 10fps). The fps drop happens immediately after the pedal is pressed but disappears at full rudder press (extreme right or left). When I start moving the pedals again towards the neutral position, the fps drop comes back until the center position is reached. The fps drop can be "reseted" by pressing the pedals fast to extreme positions and then releasing quickly.

Video about the problem:

I am not 100% when the problem first appeared, but I noticed it sometime after hotfix 3.

I don't have similar problems with other aircrafts, so I think it is somehow related to F-15's automatic rudder corrections. I have checked my bindings, installed all saitek drivers and dcs again, but it did not affect the problem.

I am using saitek combat rudder pedals and x52 pro.

Any ideas?

I have the same peddles that you do.. While I do get a drop in FPS when using them and the same positive FPS once at full deflection. My issue is no where near that of what you're experiencing.

For the WIN

If your desired effect on the target is making the pilot defecate his pants laughing then you can definitely achieve it with a launch like that.

I experience the same issue!

Warthog + Saitek pedals + TIR5 + Logitech g502 mouse

No inputs = 80-120 FPS

moving a controller brings me down to 30-50 FPS

moving throttle and stick and pedals together can bring me down to <10 FPS

The issue started when I re-installed the F15 on DCS 1.5

The issue does NOT occur in any of the free models,

This issue does not happen with the F-86 Sabre, nor with the A10 Warhog

The only plane I experience this issue with, is the F15C Eagle.

The same issue is also described here:

I really want to resolve this issue. :/

Dear ED Developers,

this issue seems to be a global one affecting both DCS World and DCS World BETA.

The issue seems to be hard to notice on a CPU >4Ghz (e.g i7)

The issue makes the game nearly unplayable on a CPU <3Ghz (e.g i5)

Example: On my i5 750, Geforce 460, 2.67Ghz, 2xSSD, I get:

- No inputs = 80-120 FPS

- Moving a controller = 30-50 FPS

- Moving throttle, stick and pedals together < 10 FPS

- The issue does not occur on free planes (e.g the Su-25T)

- The issue occurs on all pay-ware aircrafts.

- The issue is a show-stopper, P0/S1P1 on low-mid range systems.

I think these threads might need to be joined and the issue to be looked into!
