Luftwoller Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Hi all, I tried installing this mod to my ka50 but had no joy? Is it because the mod wasn't made for 1.5? The file structure seems similar but still no joy. Any ideas? ...Guy Helicopters!! Never trust anything that screws itself into the air!
Harnis Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Here's my version of the mod structured to work with 1.5. Those kind of cockpit texture mods stopped working in 1.5 because they changed the file structure of where the texture files are arranged. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4b4k0pz6ksst11x/AABlb5d-tVo2mvd6DYLZ73DZa?dl=0 It's my own modification of the original one by toby to get that greeny yellow tv screen like you see in some photos of Blacksharks. Feel free to use this version, or just check out the file structure and rearrange your files the same way. PS I have it arranged for JGSME
StrongHarm Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 ED made a request that kind of makes sense; don't install mods on the beta. This will ensure that we can reliably test then report our findings. Please consider the following, fellow DCSians: ED has given us a great opportunity with this openbeta to test and contribute. We should keep in mind that our number of reports should be equal to (pref greater than) our total number of complaints. Those of us who don't contribute really have no right to say 'but but.. it doesn't.. it isn't.. it can't.. it shouldn't..' Just sayin'... **Here's a well done post from SiThSpAwN outlining how we can all contribute: OPEN BETA - How to report a bug (FAQ & Guide) It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm
