That's what I attached previously. DCS has not run at all since I made this thread. I've attempted three subsequent reinstallations, all successfully update, but nothing is working. The log file is here again. Thank you.

 

The fact that I cannot install any antivirus programs and that 5 independent pre-boot scans of the of the PC reveal nothing leads me to believe I may need to wipe this machine clean and start over, something I really do not want to do.

 

There's nothing in the saved games logs folder after the 10th of this month. The problem started after that and there are no log files related to this.

And hope it's not a bios-level infection... I heard there're rootkits which hide in the bios flash!

This gives me a lot of confidence. Thank you. :mad: I've scanned for rootkits, too. However, the odds of something in the bios are pretty low. Every other program runs fine, just DCS doesn't want to go.

 

EDIT to add: commencing with "Syswipe" - this is not something I can tolerate! Let loose the cleansing!

Ok - it goes and it took a full blown system redo to fix it. All updated to x.99 and it runs without trouble. HOWEVER, it crashes now when trying to fly. At least it starts...still cannot fly. Whatever you did in this latest update, please undo it.

Have you tried un-ticking forcefeedback in the options? Noticed you have a G27 Racing Wheel USB.

Unticked it - still crashed at 100%.
