Corbett1403 Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Hey guys just looking at the manual and noticed that these four switches/dials have no function in The A10c on Dcs. This would make things more realistic if the canopy iced up or needed washing and have rain removal whilst flying would be cool. Does anyone have a mod or do you think it could be added. Wind shield Defog/Deice Switch. The windshield heater is controlled by this switch and is used to combat windshield fogging and icing. No function. Wind shield Rain Removal and Wash Switch. This is a three-place switch that allows the windshield to be washed with a solution when in the down position or be blown with bleed air in the up position. The middle position sets the system to OFF. No function Canopy Defog Dial. This dial may be rotated to control the amount of bleed air being blown from the base of the canopy. No function Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ganesh Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Yeah! Would also like to see such features, but... i think they have more important things to do! Currently e.g. engines & maps to fly in. Unfortunately, flight sim is a niche addiction äähhhm... product and they have a small team. regards Ganesh She: "Your orders from ED have reached a total amount of $ 1.168,94 and your hardware expenses are countless..." BSS_Sniper Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 Even if it was modeled, it doesn't just happen all the time and is rare. You'd have to have the right conditions, visible moisture for example. Corbett1403 Posted November 19, 2015 Author Posted November 19, 2015 I understand but example if you set weather when it is raining having the rain onto the canopy and having the rain removed whilst flying and taxing. Plus in winter some icing up of canopy would be cool. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Sryan Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 afaik this feature is planned. I believe for 2.0. The MiG21 changelog for patch 1.5 gave a clue it might be close. vicx Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 A mod like that might be possible to make by an end user if there is an argument on the EDM model that changes the canopy texture. How many of the modules have this iced up canopy feature? I know that the C-101 has it just by looking at the textures but what other modules have it.
Crunchy Posted November 19, 2015 Posted November 19, 2015 I'm sure they are aware it would be more realistic if it wad added, but they have more important thing to implement. I think something like this should be way down the list if it gets in the way of the most important things.
