fibola Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 after installing mig21bis on DCS 1.5 i notice there is some conflict with the TIR head movement. scrolling the axis command setting, i notice that TIR axis, are define. since i figure that the only thing that is resposible on the TIR head movement is the TIR software, i deleted them all, but by doing it now when i run a mig21 mission, my TIR isnt work at all. this issue is true only for mig21 module and i dont have any issue with other DCS modules i have install. any thoughts ? if i need to define TIR in the axis command setting , please advise which one and where , since i didnt save the deleted setting . thank you.
grunf Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Here's my TIR5 setup, hope it will help. Delete any other assignments for these axes.
fibola Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 many thanx. will try that later when ill get back home.
fibola Posted November 22, 2015 Author Posted November 22, 2015 hi, i set axis exactly as you posted in the picture. everything move ok except the vertical axis - i cant move head up and down. again checked with other modules and there is no problem there.
TheSnark Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Very odd, I do not have this problem(TrackIR 3 Pro), but I've noticed that the TIR overrides the zoom if I assign it to the joystick. No idea what is causing it for you though but I would look in that direction.

Sorry to hear you still have problems. I've never had such issues with TIR. I'm afraid I can't think of anything else other than checking for conflicting axes and the vertical axis settings, which you've probably already done. Hope someone will be more helpful. :)
1.JaVA_Platypus Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 (edited) Maybe you can try to delete DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\Aircraft\MiG-21bis\Input\MiG-21\headtracker and \trackir and run DCS updater.exe to repair the MiG-21 module. Maybe you can try that. The repair function copy's the needed files to your MiG-21 installation again. Along with overwriting any other modded, so you might want to back-up a thing or two. It should leave customized keyboard-layouts alone. I assume you have the trackIR software installed? Edited November 23, 2015 by 1.JaVA_Platypus Happy Flying! :pilotfly:

fibola Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 maybe uninstall the mig21 module and reinstall it ? just reinstall it and problem remain. are there a Leatherneck men here that maybe can suggest a solution ?
Art-J Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 If the problem lies somewhere in control assignments, repairing and/or reinstalling the module won't help, as these assignments are stored in Saved Games\DCS.OpenBeta\Config\Input\MiG-21Bis folder, which is not affected by the game updater. Rename/move this folder somewhere else for a while, let the game create a new one and reassign TrackIR again to see if it works. i7 9700K @ stock speed, single GTX1070, 32 gigs of RAM, TH Warthog, MFG Crosswind, Win10.
