BoNidle Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 (edited) I decided to give myself a break from Korea and do something a little more involved. The "Skyblazers were the aerobatic team for the USAF in Europe from 1949 to 1962. The used the F-86 Sabre between 1954 and 1956. The 1956 team comprised of; Lead: Capt Jim Reynolds (Sabre FU-192) Right Wing: Lt James Foster (FU-201), Left Wing: Lt Harold "Bud" Homan (FU-219), Slot: Lt Warren Efting (FU-186). I had originally intended to only do the Sabre of the team Leader, Captain Jim Reynolds, but once that was eventually finished I got carried away! These have been uploaded as a four pack to User Files and should be up soon. I will be returning to my Korean War skins as these may all look the same but there are subtle differences that nearly drove me nuts, so I need the rest! Donut Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Thank you for the hard work and liveries that you provide! Quick question...As you can see in the attached image, I am having an issue where the bort number from the mission editor is overlaying the fixed tail number on your skin. I have the same issue with other F-86 skins as well. I know that there is an issue right now in 1.5 with the texture of the tail number but is there a fix to disable the bort number from displaying on aircraft with fixed tail numbers? i5 7600K @4.8GHz | 1080 Ti | 32GB 3200MHz | SSD | DCS SETTINGS | "COCKPIT"
BoNidle Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 Thank you for the hard work and liveries that you provide! Thanks for the kind words chaps. @brianjmac....and all others who will now have this issue following the latest update. The previous update altered the description .lua in that it removed the lower dash "_" from the entries relating to the BORT number. The new update has put them back which now gives the error on the fuselage numbers. Just open the description file in Notepad and replace the missing dashes so they look like the BORT_NUMBER_TAIL entries then save. This is how they should now look (Example used is Skyblazer Lead): {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_01", 3,"empty", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_10", 3,"empty", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_100", 3,"empty", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_TAIL_01", 3,"empty", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_TAIL_10", 3,"empty", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_TAIL_100", 3,"empty", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_01", 0,"Skyblazers_Lead", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_10", 0,"Skyblazers_Lead", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_100", 0,"Skyblazers_Lead", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_TAIL_01", 0,"Skyblazers_Lead", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_TAIL_10", 0,"Skyblazers_Lead", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_TAIL_100", 0,"Skyblazers_Lead", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_01", 2,"f-86f_main_SPEC_Skyblazers_Lead", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_10", 2,"f-86f_main_SPEC_Skyblazers_Lead", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_100", 2,"f-86f_main_SPEC_Skyblazers_Lead", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_TAIL_01", 2,"f-86f_main_SPEC_Skyblazers_Lead", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_TAIL_10", 2,"f-86f_main_SPEC_Skyblazers_Lead", false}, {"F86_BORT_NUMBER_TAIL_100", 2,"f-86f_main_SPEC_Skyblazers_Lead", false}, Why do the updates hate the Sabre?:(:(:(:(:( I now have to go through all mine and amend them accordingly...again! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. 1
