ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 26, 2015 ED Team Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) Apologies, I asked for your track file and it had no relevance to you not being able to run dcs open beta. ( it has been a long day and it is nearly bed time here lol ) can you please add your autoupdate_log.txt as well, and I will take a look in the morning, unless someone else helps you in the mean time. It can be found in your openbeta main instal location. thanks Edited November 26, 2015 by BIGNEWY Forum rules - DCS Crashing? ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 26, 2015 ED Team Posted November 26, 2015 Thanks. Ensure DCS is running as admin. Also goto C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta and rename it to something else so you have it as a backup. then restart dcs and it will create a new one, then redo your settings if it works. let me know how you get on Forum rules - DCS Crashing? tordillo Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Hi, good morning. Yes I did but nothing happened
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 26, 2015 ED Team Posted November 26, 2015 (edited) wondering if it is gpu related as your log does not even get as far as loading the dx11 stuff. Is your AMD Radeon R7 M260 being utilized when you start DCS? as it is using hybrid graphics also on that note, are your gpu drivers up to date? tordillo Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Is there a way to verify if the AMD radeon is being used?
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 26, 2015 ED Team Posted November 26, 2015 I am not sure with AMD hybrid gpu's, it has been a while. Check the Catalyst Control Center and set DCS to run on "Max Performance". That way, you get R7 to start the app This is from memory, I am not sure to be honest. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? tordillo Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 It works now, I did what you said, I set the max performance on the Catalyst Control and then right click on the desktop and selected Switchable Graphics Application Settings, and there I added the DCS OB to the list of High Perfomance. Thanks for your help:thumbup::pilotfly:

tordillo Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Hi, I cant make it work again, it worked today in the morning after the changes I told you, but now I have the same problem.
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 26, 2015 ED Team Posted November 26, 2015 Then for some reason your AMD catalyst is not turning on your gpu when dcs is launched. Forum rules - DCS Crashing? tordillo Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 Do you know if it is any way to turn on manually the gpu?
ED Team BIGNEWY Posted November 26, 2015 ED Team Posted November 26, 2015 Sorry I am not sure, I will ask some of the EDtesters who use AMD to see if they know Forum rules - DCS Crashing? SkateZilla Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 you likely have to create a application profile inside Catalyst Control Center, for DCS.EXE, and then set it there.
