Hi, I can not start the DCS open beta since the last update. I click on the gray icon, the sistem checks for updates and then nothing.

hi Bignewy, here is the log

I can add that when I want to start again DCS, it shows a window indicating that I can´t run two sessions at the same time.

Here is my Sistem Spec:

Satellite S55-B

Intel Core i7-4510u 2.60Ghz

Ram 8 Gb

System 64-bit

AMD Radeon R7 M260

 

How can I get the track file from the crash?

Apologies, I asked for your track file and it had no relevance to you not being able to run dcs open beta. ( it has been a long day and it is nearly bed time here lol )

 

can you please add your autoupdate_log.txt as well, and I will take a look in the morning, unless someone else helps you in the mean time.

 

It can be found in your openbeta main instal location.

Ensure DCS is running as admin.

 

Also goto C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta and rename it to something else so you have it as a backup.

 

then restart dcs and it will create a new one, then redo your settings if it works.

I did what you said and the system created a new folder, however the DCS never started

wondering if it is gpu related as your log does not even get as far as loading the dx11 stuff.

 

Is your AMD Radeon R7 M260 being utilized when you start DCS? as it is using hybrid graphics

 

also on that note, are your gpu drivers up to date?

I am not sure with AMD hybrid gpu's, it has been a while.

 

Check the Catalyst Control Center and set DCS to run on "Max Performance". That way, you get R7 to start the app

 

This is from memory, I am not sure to be honest.

It works now, I did what you said, I set the max performance on the Catalyst Control and then right click on the desktop and selected Switchable Graphics Application Settings, and there I added the DCS OB to the list of High Perfomance.

Hi, I cant make it work again, it worked today in the morning after the changes I told you, but now I have the same problem.

Then for some reason your AMD catalyst is not turning on your gpu when dcs is launched.

Do you know if it is any way to turn on manually the gpu?

you likely have to create a application profile inside Catalyst Control Center, for DCS.EXE, and then set it there.
