LtMacGowan Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 First there are no training missions, and on top of that no campaign for it either!? Are there any 3rd party training missions or Campaigns i can download for the F-86 elsewhere?

kontiuka Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Considering that this is an "alpha release", the test focus lies more on the NTTR terrain implementation than content. Content, of course, will follow during the different test stages.I believe he talking solely about the F-86. Not DCS World 2.0 or NTTR.

The good news is that it is still in beta and should be approaching final release (I don't know when). In the mean time, you can check out YouTube. There must be plenty of tutorial videos. And here's a document Charly_Owl put together ... https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B-uSpZROuEd3SGRPUmtZejN1NDQ/view?pli=1

While BST makes great modules I think many of us would like them finished. I'm still waiting for gunners on my MI-8. Yea the F-5 will be awesome, but will it be unfinished as well?
johnv2pt0 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Yea the F-5 will be awesome, but will it be unfinished as well? Yes. This is their business model and I'm tired of fanboys trying to defend them. 1
Fred00 Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 I must say that it's strange that there's so little content for it still. Wasn't it over a year it got released? I think that a bare minimum right now would be a full manual and training missions. Would also be fun with a couple of decent single missions. To be honest I thought they would release at least a couple of fun instant action missions together with NTTR, but I could only find a mission called "Intercept" which must have taken the devs about 5 mins to put together. I'm not sure I will be buying more of Belsimteks modules if this is the amount of content we can expect after so long time.
Krunkskimo Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 (edited) All I remember being promised was the opportunity to battle the MIG. There was no Korea map announcement and I don't remember any era game assets being announced. As far as I can tell you've paid for what was promised, a study sim with the opportunity to battle the mig and that's it(which is why I didn't buy this or the mig). A Georgia Korean War Campaign? :megalol: no thx Edited December 2, 2015 by Krunkskimo
kkretch Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Content Really! This module has been beta for at least 14 months now. All other modules released have at least training in game and/or single missions in a lot less time. I bought this module at full price because I missed "mig alley" so bad. I have several modules from DCS and expected a full product as with the other modules I own and love.
Tetraptous Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 It's a real shame, because the Sabre is so fun to fly. I do hope we'll get an official campaign sometime in the future; I know they can do it, because the Mi-8 campaign is quite good! The Georgia map is fine--I don't expect new maps from the 3rd party module developers, since they're clearly a lot of work--although I'd love to see a Korea map someday. I'm interested in the MiG-15, but will probably hold off until there's more to do.
