Moos_tachu Posted December 6, 2015 Posted December 6, 2015 No. The HOT is not laser-guided, it's wire-guided. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Mud, wind and fire.

Fri13 Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Yes, HOT3 is wire guided but I would like to know is the wire simulated this time? As the wire being pulled from the missile limits its capability to be used when target is moving and there is some bushes or trees between launcher and target as the cable easily cuts off. These are some of the things that isn't simulated in the DCS as example how TOW can be fired and guided to targets moving behind trees :-/ i7-8700k, 32GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 2x 2080S SLI 8GB, Oculus Rift S. i7-8700k, 16GB 2666Mhz DDR4, 1080Ti 11GB, 27" 4K, 65" HDR 4K.
Pat01 Posted February 29, 2016 Posted February 29, 2016 Hi Gents The gazelle HOT missile wire can be cut if you use some positions of the missile station selector at the missile console. The length of the wire is 4300m, so if the target moves further than 4300m the cable will be cut and the missile will go balistic too. The possibility to cut the wire with trees or other terrain objects is not simulated.
