Admittedly, I've never been to Nevada, but the trees are throwing me off a bit. I did not expect to see the desert and Las Vegas densely covered in the same deciduous trees that populate Caucasus. I will occasionally see stretches of cactus plants, but in general, is there any way to either reduce the number of trees or change the species? As a rule, the desert doesn't have many trees, and the ones that do exist are probably more of the shrub variety. Flying a Ka-50 around the "forest" of Las Vegas is a bit comical. :) Otherwise, Nevada is impeccable.

If you're talking about Vegas proper, not surprised. Much like Phoenix, many of the non "native" folks that settled in brought in the non indigenous vegetation. But, I would not expect a forest. More like a sprinkling of the non native terra/fauna.... :)

There are plenty of Ponderosa Pine around the Vegas area. Just north of Vegas are some good hiking areas that are pretty densely populated with big pines, and just east you start getting into the Colorado plateau area once you get into Utah. Same with just west, you start getting closer to the Sierras.

This area in real life (the southwest/Colorado plateau, not Vegas :) ) is one of the coolest areas on earth because of the drastic changes in vegetation/scenery and how quick those changes happen.

I only fly fixed wings so I may be missing what you are saying but I haven't noticed the forest areas until I get away from Vegas and the ground elevation gets higher.

I'm talking about deciduous tress, like oaks, elms, maples that lose their leaves in the fall. Vegas is full of them and seems to only have one species of tree (i.e. the textures from Caucasus).

I've never been to Vegas but it doesn't seem that outlandish.
