hello folks, is it possible to reduce the sound vol. of the engine sound from vehicles?

When i am sitting in my striker and want to lase a target in Jtac mode, the sound is so loud that i couldn't understand my buddy over TS!

please fix this so we can shut down the engine when it stopped

You can adjust the volume of other players in Teamspeak. Right click on their name and select adjust volume.

Also check out the sound sliders in DCS in the Audio Tab. I assume one of those sliders affect the sounds you are hearing.

I had the same problem, but solved it by going to the Windows sound mixer panel with DCS open.

Here I adjusted DCS' sound level down, so I can now hear my team mates in TeamSpeak.

System specs:

Gigabyte Aorus Master, i7 9700K@std, GTX 1080TI OC, 32 GB 3000 MHz RAM, NVMe M.2 SSD, Oculus Quest VR (2x1600x1440)

Warthog HOTAS w/150mm extension, Slaw pedals, Gametrix Jetseat, TrackIR for monitor use

You can adjust the sound levels in the games options.

Yeah, that is possible too.

The reason I chose Windows sound mixer is that I experieced loss of sound detail when I used the ingame volume sliders.

(Have not tested in 1.5/2.0 though.)

I've got a similar complaint about the engine noise that can't be solved by the in-game or Windows volume sliders.

I just want to be able to hear what's going on around me better instead of an idling engine constantly. I hadn't played with Combined Arms for a very long time and loaded it up recently in Nevada. I n the mission editor I set myself up near a bunch of enemy targets and put down a half dozen AI A-10Cs to do strafing runs thinking to myself "This is going to sound awesome!". Instead I could barely hear anything other than myself idling.
