Airfield on Kutaisi city?

Wondering why the airfield in Kutaisi town (the one close to the NW of the city) is not operational. One can land there, but is not possible to take off from there or assign it as a AI landing point.

 

Is there any way to make it a regular airfield?

good point. I think this will be possible only when we get the option to take off and landing from roads. You only need there the group for ground crew services, but does not work yet.

Perhaps certain units/objects could provide these funcions to aircraft in the area where they are placed, as they do in the case of FARPs. The creation of entirely new sections of road (all over the map), where this option is available, does not seem to be a realistic expectation for the old Caucasus map.

There is probably a reason why the airfield in this area is not active.

Well to land and take off on Road is not really needed a new made for Roads model in Caucasus map. The real problem is for the ground crew services and navigation services to be implemented everywhere on the roads.

 

I use to land and take off with Su-25T in some roads, very nice and possible.

Like a starting point? Sounds like a good idea, a starting point for the player and the AI, the AI planes can use to take off, no taxi, simply take off in a straight line, and a point used to make the AI land, place that object in the mission editor and the AI will touch down there, once stopped their plane will dissapear. For me sounds good enough, and it's more or less like our current FARPS work.
