fitness88 Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I'm looking for a mileage scaled Black Sea map with runway symbols and names. Thank you.

fitness88 Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) No more like this but with mileage scaling, unless someone knows how many miles from one grid line to the next. Edited December 21, 2015 by fitness88
BaD CrC Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I wish we get a new TC1 version with the Tbilissi area.... https://www.blacksharkden.com http://discord.gg/blacksharkden

So you need to know how to convert latitude and longitude to miles? Am I getting that right? UltraMFCD 3.0 in the works. https://ultramfcd.com
fitness88 Posted December 21, 2015 Author Posted December 21, 2015 (edited) So you need to know how to convert latitude and longitude to miles? Am I getting that right? No I understand that. My photo is a static grid map I just wanted to have some mileage scale to go along with it. What would be handy is if someone had scaled mileage to alternate airfields. If I don't find it I will spend some time and do it myself and will then post it. Edited December 21, 2015 by fitness88
ajax Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 I wish we get a new TC1 version with the Tbilissi area.... I tried to build one, but didn't get very far: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1713904&postcount=216 OP: The grid looks like 10km x 10km
fitness88 Posted December 22, 2015 Author Posted December 22, 2015 Can anyone please tell me what the kilometer distance is from one grid line to the one in the next box?
Cibit Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) You have a ruler in the Mission Editor will give you all the measurements you need for flight planning The answer is 54 Nm across:) Edited December 22, 2015 by Cibit i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
Sgt_Baker Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 (edited) The further you delve, the more complex it gets, but this is what you're looking at there: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Military_grid_reference_system Each super-square is 100,000m on a side (54 Nm, as Cibit said). Figuring out the rest should be pretty simple. :) Edit: You can also specify that DCS use MGRS throughout via the Misc. tab (I think) of the settings screen. Thanks to you all for the info. Edited December 22, 2015 by fitness88
ajax Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 The ruler still works in 1.5 ... sort of. It just doesn't show the line. The pertinent information (distance, bearing) still shows up on the header area.
Cibit Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 My screens where taken in 1.5.2 I tried to remove layers via the map options and the ruler function disappeared, when adding the layers back it came on again. try map options tab in ME i5 8600k@5.2Ghz, Asus Prime A Z370, 32Gb DDR4 3000, GTX1080 SC, Oculus Rift CV1, Modded TM Warthog Modded X52 Collective, Jetseat, W10 Pro 64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Adding JTAC Guide //My Vid's//229th AHB
