I like how ED keeps things going with both Russian and western equipment. The SU-25 is such an important aircraft, I was hoping we may see the SU-25SM standard at some point. Thanks.

That always seems a bit difficult to find information on. What types of targeting pods are integrated, and what kind of missiles can it launch? My understanding is that it is not as capable weapons wise as the T or TM but retains the better aerodynamics of the original.
rrohde Posted December 21, 2015 Posted December 21, 2015 Well, upgrading existing variants shouldn't affect the creation of other aircraft, after all, DCS seems to have a modular design approach in mind. ED could always merge the 25A and 25T into a 25SM and only maintaining this single, updated variant to reflect the current reality a bit more closely. I only have the Wikipedia entry to go on: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukhoi_Su-25 However, the SU-25SM seems to be the "plan." Given the Caucasus theater we've used for so long in DCS, perhaps I should have inquired about the SU-25KM as it is Georgia's way of keeping some sort of production of the SU-25 alive. I realize one must already mostly give up on timelines as the aircraft featured are all over the place, but modernizing the Frogfoot would be interesting.
Stratos Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I will love a modernized Su-25 with better avionics, need HUd, and keeping the better aerodinamics of the A. The T is a flying truck. I don't understand anything in russian except Davai Davai!
