JGplanes Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 I recently installed Win10 on a new HD, and am still running my old Windows 7 on a separate HD. I was wondering if there was a way to use the installation of DCS on Win7 through Win10. I'd like to have one common install to save space, but operable under both OSes. If that's not possible, is there a way to copy the DCS install from the Win7 drive, so that I don't have to start over from scratch? Thanks, JG
SkateZilla Posted December 27, 2015 Posted December 27, 2015 You'd be constantly re-activating them everytime you boot DCS in Win7 then Win10. You can simply run one install on both OS's as long as all the MSVC Runtimes and stuff are installed. Windows 10 Pro, Ryzen 2700X @ 4.6Ghz, 32GB DDR4-3200 GSkill (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR x2), ASRock X470 Taichi Ultimate, XFX RX6800XT Merc 310 (RX-68XTALFD9) 3x ASUS VS248HP + Oculus HMD, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS + MFDs
JGplanes Posted December 28, 2015 Author Posted December 28, 2015 Thanks. I guess I can keep it under Windows 7 until I get ready to migrate completely to Win10.
