Jumbik Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 Maybe I'm missing something but I'm unable to mount fuel tanks on Mirage in our multiplayer mission in 1.5.2 I've put the Mirage on two different airports, assigned different countries to them yet still its impossible to mount fuel tanks on them. Missiles and bombs are no problem. When I try to select the fuel tank from the equipment list, it's just blank. Do I have to do anything specific in mission editor to be able to equipt the M2000C with fuel tanks? Creating loadout in editor did not help either. When I select it ingame the ground crew does not install them. Thank you for any leads for the root of this issue. Do, or do not, there is no try. -------------------------------------------------------- Sapphire Nitro+ Rx Vega 64, i7 4790K ... etc. etc.
Derbysieger Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) Does the mission feature limited supplies? I've had no problems loading the aircraft with fuel tanks (center line or wing) in both 2.0 and 1.5.2 but I do have a freeflight mission where I have no supplies at airbases except for smoke and fuel tanks and I can't select the tanks without changing the mission Edited December 29, 2015 by Derbysieger 1 CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D | Mobo: ASRock X870E Taichi Lite | RAM: 96GB DDR5-6000 CL30 | GPU: ASUS RTX5090 32GB ROG Astral | SSDs: 3xSamsung 990 Pro 4TB M.2 Peripherals: Warthog HOTAS | Virpil MongoosT-50CM3 Base | TrackIR 5 | MFG Crosswinds | 3xTM Cougar MFDs | HP Reverb G2

Mission or map options do not contain this option. Do, or do not, there is no try. -------------------------------------------------------- Sapphire Nitro+ Rx Vega 64, i7 4790K ... etc. etc.
Jumbik Posted December 29, 2015 Author Posted December 29, 2015 I've found where to change it. It works now! :) Do, or do not, there is no try. -------------------------------------------------------- Sapphire Nitro+ Rx Vega 64, i7 4790K ... etc. etc.

NeilWillis Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Yes, please post the solution because it'll help anyone else facing the same issue. Thanks
Shahdoh Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Have seen at least something similar on the Virtual Aerobatics server where we use supply system to restrict munitions. When there is an update and new items (weapons, fuel tanks, etc...) are introduced, they either do not show in the list and even sometimes corrupt the information due to changing id numbers or something. I reset the file by deleting the warehouse file from the mission.miz. DCS will rebuild that information when I open the mission in the editor and then I can set the restrictions I want again. King_Hrothgar Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 104th for 1.5 has the same issue, no drop tanks. Strangely their 2.0 server has them, but they also have the MiG-21's nukes so I'm guessing it's running totally unrestricted.
Conroy Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Bump. Sorry for my question but really...how do you guys rearm in multiplayer? Ground crew doesn't answer even if the weapons are available. It' related to the radio or else?
Derbysieger Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Do you have the canopy open? Conroy Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Do you have the canopy open? ...........i don't remember, may be it was closed.:P Thank you!
spiddx Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Yeah if canopy is closed (which it is by default at cold start atm) you need to have at least battery power on the aircraft to contact ground crew. Specs: i9 10900K @ 5.1 GHz, EVGA GTX 1080Ti, MSI Z490 MEG Godlike, 32GB DDR4 @ 3600, Win 10, Samsung S34E790C, Vive, TIR5, 10cm extended Warthog on WarBRD, Crosswinds
Jumbik Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 I've found out that the store houses at each airport do not have the fuel tanks in store if you do not set them to unlimited. Click on the airport buildings, you should get the warehouse list, mark all tabs as unlimited supply. Regarding the radio and resupply, you do not have to open the canopy, just turn on the Battery. It works for me (i suppose you need to have the easy communications enabled on server). Do, or do not, there is no try. -------------------------------------------------------- Sapphire Nitro+ Rx Vega 64, i7 4790K ... etc. etc.
Shahdoh Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Jumbik, The tanks WILL show up with limited weapons but as I tried to explain earlier, its a case of a corrupted\not up to date warehouse file for the mission. All mission files (*.miz) are just zip files. Open it up with just about any compression software (Pkzip, winzip, etc) delete the warehouse file from the mission (it will not have an extension). Open up the mission in mission editor (DCS will rebuild the warehouse file with current data. You can now see all available munitions, tanks, etc and set limited supply as you desire. Salute, Shahdoh
104th_Maverick Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 I think I found a fix for this! At least a work around for now! Ok..... Fuel Tanks will not show up in Servers with limited munitions set. This is because the warehouses file in the actual mission file itself is from a previous version. Open the mission you want to host online and delete the warehouses file from it and replace it with another warehouses file from the most recent version. To get this simply make a new blank mission, select the airfields you want to blue and red etc then just save it. Get the warehouse file from the mission folder and copy it into the mission you want to host online! Note: Because you are replacing the warehouse file with another one it will delete all the airbases you had set to blue and red, so if you dont change this your mission airfields will be neutral! What I did.... Replaced the Warehouses file as described above. Then I went in to the mission I want to host online and reset the airbases to Red and Blue that were active in the mission. Once you have done this you will see the RPL tanks available in the Airport Resource menu! https://www.dropbox.com/s/9zqfnv9iqm5qkwo/Screen_151231_101623.jpg?dl=0 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] 104th Phoenix Wing Commander / Total Poser / Elitist / Hero / Chad www.104thPhoenix.com www.facebook.com/104thPhoenix My YouTube Channel
