DCS 1.5.2 Freezes and then Crashes

Hello,

 

Throughout the 1.5 beta and now release I have had constant freezes during loading with all modules.

 

Specs:

 

AMD FX 8320

Radeon R9 380

8 gig Ram

120gb SSD

 

Any help would be appreciated.

 

I have attached the logs, I hope these are correct and helpful.

I still seem to be getting the freeze. No luck yet. Thank you though! I am not sure what is the issue!

the next thing to try is renaming your dcs folder in your saved games (keep it as a backup incase)

 

C:\Users\yourname\Saved Games\DCS

 

then restart DCS and it will create a new one, redo your settings and see if it resolves the issue.

 

If it does you can move the input folder from the old location to the new so you do not have to do your control's again.

Still no luck sadly. Interestingly ever since adding those DLL's the game crashes on loading terrain.

 

While not ideal at least I'll be more competent with any future problem!

you are using steam correct?

 

if so have you tried the integrity check on the game files yet?

I have done yes. I have Steam and Standalone. I had Steam as my 1.2 install while I was having problems with 1.5. The freeze issues are with both Steam and Standalone.

 

A headache of a setup I feel!

Lets cover some basic stuff.

 

Is your windows 7 up to date?

also check your c++

 

Install both the x86 + x64 versions on a 64bit OS.

Sorry for the awfully late reply!

 

I checked all of those and they were all good.

 

I got rid on my Steam install and reinstalled the Standalone.

 

Started the game with all the graphics low and it has been working okay. I went into the mission editor and just flew around and it was stable, so I have upped the graphics.

 

I just get crashes when the preload is up and also with fullscreen on.

 

But I can play it now. Thank you for your help!

I have exactly the same problem, and i have the same R9 380 (4go)

I installed previous driver but it don't solve the problem.

Freeze and crash every time, especially in multiplayer. I can just taxy or fly 1 or 2 minutes sometimes :(

This prob appeared only since the 1.5.2.

Specs: i5 3570k, radeon R9 380 4go, 8go ram, 64gb ssd + 2 x 1To hdd

When a program crashes, an event log file is generated. Access this file and look at the error report.

This is more likely DCS world application error and not your PC.

Thx for your answers, i tried these solutions before write my post and the log is useless in my case :(

I choose a radical solution : return the R9 380 to the distributor and buy a GTX 960.

Indeed this Radeon is very problematic (Motherboard detection problem, bios flash and update necessary ; many drivers problem ; crash in several games)...

So... farewell ATI

Correction : i don't try the dll solution.

the dll solve completely the crash problem in the menu and in game :)

But omg guys, this graphic card is so problematic !
