BoNidle Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I decided to take a look at some post Korean War schemes and have had this one in mind for some time. From the 366th FBW, 391st FBS, it took part in the 1956 Gunnery Meet at Nellis AFB. The only illustration I could find is in the book "F-86 Sabre in color" by Larry Davis (Squadron/Signal publications "Fighting Colors" series). It's a work in progress but about 80% complete with some tweaking of the stripes alignment on the horizontal tails still to do and stripes still to be added to the fuel tanks. (Plus I'm trying some new metal finishes). It just seemed fitting for the excellent Nevada terrain in DCS 2.0. I hope to release it sometime next week.
BoNidle Posted January 6, 2016 Author Posted January 6, 2016 Now submitted to DCS User Files so should be up soon. (I'm not 100% happy with the stripes under the nose but its the only way they would fit).
Buzzles Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Impressive! Fancy trying Star Citizen? Click here!
jocko417 Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 COOL!!! Reminds me to get my nose back to the grindstone. Very busy over the holidays but things are quiet now. Lots of U.S. National Guard schemes I'd like to try.
